The stories started spreading yesterday….somehow, footage of a remastered edition of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was showing up all over YouTube. It wasn’t just one user, or one video…many folks seemed to have access to it. There had definitely been a leak, and now the game’s existence was undeniable, but when would it be officially revealed?
First the PS4 got an open beta for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare….then the XBox….now the time has come at last to test them all at once. This includes the PC, which hasn’t had an open beta yet. They’ll all going live later today when the Crossplay Beta kicks off for Modern Warfare.
Activision and Infinity Ward are now testing out the 2v2 mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer. The alpha is now live and can be enjoyed for the next two days.
Today Infinity Ward blew the curtain off the multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the reboot heading to consoles and the PC this fall. They showed off the mode in a livestream captured on Twitch this morning (might as well watch it — it’s not like you’re gonna watch Ninja). But they revealed more than that….they told us when the mode will first become playable outside the studio.
Activision and Infinity Ward have revealed that all the details about Call of Duty, Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer experience will be released in a video set to be released this Friday. The trailer will be shown during the Call of Duty XP fan event this weekend and will be livestreamed as part of the celebration.
It’s not uncommon for developers to leave one studio for another, but it can be when the one they’re leaving just had a successful game under their guidance. Such is the case with Brian Horton of Crystal Dynamics, who has been revealed to have left the studio of which he was game director for the recent Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Reload Studios, a development team made up of ex-members of the Call of Duty creator Infinity Ward, is working on a first-person shooter for virtual reality devices. The company’s official site reveals more information about the studio and what exactly they are working on.
Activision and Infinity Ward have today announced and revealed details for the third expansion pack for the hugely popular Call of Duty: Ghosts. Invasion DLC, as you’ll see in the teaser trailer below, will offer 4 new maps – Favela, Mutiny, Departed and Pharaoah.
Talking to Game Informer Sledgehammer co-studio head Glen Schofield revealed that the developer was working on a third-person shooter version of Call of Duty. According to Schofield the game was set in Vietnam and would have featured players having to adapt to the battlefield and overcome a number of obstacles.
