Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Reveal Due This Friday
Activision and Infinity Ward have revealed that all the details about Call of Duty, Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer experience will be released in a video set to be released this Friday. The trailer will be shown during the Call of Duty XP fan event this weekend and will be livestreamed as part of the celebration.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the latest entry in the long running and incredibly popular shooter franchise that has dominated the charts for some time. It was first announced in 2015 but actually began development in 2014 following a new schedule that sees Infinity Ward only releasing a game every three years rather than every two.
Unlike many of the other instalments in the series, Infinite Warfare takes place in the far future. The setting sees players battling to keep control of the Solar System from a hostile force. Certain Limited Edition versions of the game come with a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that has been developed by Raven Software.
Due to hit store shelves on November 4, 2016, Infinite Warfare has so far garnered a negative reaction from fans and the media who have been critical of the new futuristic setting and departure from traditional Call of Duty gameplay.
