ONE PIECE: The Netflix Live Version is… GOOD?!!?

I had no expectations when Netflix announced that they would make a live-action version of One Piece because Netflix's adaptations of Death Note and Cowboy Bebop were disappointing. In fact, they were total garbage, so my expectations were incredibly low. However, I was mesmerized when I saw the live-action adaptation because of the love and heart they poured into making it work. For those who were hesitant to watch One Piece due to its thousands of episodes, this anime will be a great alternative. If you prefer not to watch an anime with thousands of episodes

Last year, when they announced a live-action adaptation of One Piece, I thought it was going to be lackluster for one reason: how can you make Luffy's stretchy arms look good in live-action? There's a reason why the MCU changed Ms. Marvel's powers; they might appear creepy on TV. However, to my surprise, the Gomu Gomu no Pistol looks great in the live-action One Piece. Kudos to Netflix for casting Iñaki Godoy, a Mexican actor who did an excellent job playing Luffy. He truly resembles a live-action version of the character and even sounds like one. He captures Luffy's never-give-up attitude, optimism, childlike innocence, and hunger for adventure perfectly

My expectations were extremely low, and for the first time, I'm glad to be proven wrong. I now look forward to a second season of the live-action One Piece. I might even go so far as to say it surpasses the anime."

My only issue with the casting is that the Nami they chose is flatchested, not as curvaceous as the character from the anime. There are plenty of curvaceous actresses in real life, so it's kinda surprising they couldn't find one.

This should serve as a lesson in Hollywood that when adapting media for a Western audience, it's essential to show respect for the source material. Consulting the original writers and avoiding unnecessary political additions to the script is crucial
