An enhanced version of the PC game Robocraft is set to launch on Xbox One and Windows 10 next year. Robocraft Infinity will also be a part of the Play Anywhere initiative by Microsoft, allowing players to play the game on both of its platforms and transfer progress between the two seamlessly.
The latest free update is now available for Doom, introducing a number of new features to its multiplayer mode. Among other things, bot support has been added, allowing you to play against AI-controlled enemies. At least for now, they’re only available in the less-complex game modes, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. They’re also limited to playing on the original slate of multiplayer maps. A player in Overwatch has reached the maximum level available in the game. While TaZzerk is not the first player to do so, he does seem to be the only user to have reached the milestone without resorting to account sharing.
Activision and Infinity Ward have revealed that all the details about Call of Duty, Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer experience will be released in a video set to be released this Friday. The trailer will be shown during the Call of Duty XP fan event this weekend and will be livestreamed as part of the celebration.
While we already knew that F1 2016 was set to feature the most immersive career mode of any Formula 1 game that has previously been released, the developer has now revealed that the new title will include a brand new multiplayer focused game mode. The Multiplayer Championship gives up to 22 players the chance to compete in a full season championship via online play, something that has not previously been possible.
In spite of the many highlights and wonders this year’s E3 exhibition has delivered so far, one of the things I’ve been hoping we’d see this week is live footage of Battlefield 4‘s multiplayer running on next generation hardware. On August 7th, publisher Activision unveiled the online multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for the first time via the official Call of Duty YouTube channel. At time of writing, the trailer has so far received 3,568,588 views, 54,709 likes, 11,565 dislikes and 36,273 comments.

My love affair with Twisted Metal began in the 90’s with the original title developed by SingleTrac and David Jaffe long before his God of War fame. As a child I found the game to be pretty difficult and the AI quite punishing, but the colorful characters, fun gameplay and sheer personality of the title completely ensnared me nonetheless. As years went by the series became a bit of a mess far as quality goes, with high points like Twisted Metal 2 and Black standing alongside abysmal lows like Twisted Metal 4 and Small Brawl.(more…)
