Today Namco Bandai and Developer FROM Software released a nice long trailer for the upcoming Armored Core: Verdict Day. The Mecha smashup features a heavy focus on multiplayer gameplay but, in this trailer, we get to see what appears to be a ton of chopped up campaign cutscenes hinting at what could be an interesting story. Check out the trailer below and be sure to give us your thoughts!
Today MercurySteam and Konami released a brand new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, and it’s quite the doozy. As a big fan of the first game in the spin-off Lords of Shadow franchise, I’m pretty excited by all the potential on display here. Sadly, as we all saw with games such as Darksiders 2, just creating a fantastic action game alone doesn’t necessarily guarantee sales. If MercurySteam hope to make this game a big success then they really need to explode the proverbial ball out of the park. Thankfully at least, the marketing seems quite compelling thusfar. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think of Dracula’s first time as the lead character of a Castlevania game (Soma doesn’t count).
Here we have a great new trailer for Pokemon X and Y. I gotta say, as a fan who has been enjoying the series since Red and Blue on the original Gameboy, it’s fantastic to see the series proper move into the realm of three-dimensional graphics. In this trailer we get to see a few new Pokemon and what appears to be the debut of “Pokemon Riding”. Check it out below!
Here we have a quick little video of the AC4 developers at Ubisoft gushing over the PS4’s capabilities and the ease of development on the platform. It’s pretty good stuff intercut with some neat scenes from the game itself. Hopefully the PS4 release of AC4 wont be far behind the current gen release, because I plan on waiting this time around and picking up the best version of the game that I can. Check out the trailer below and enjoy!
It seems that Pacific Rim, the giant mecha vs monster film, is getting a multi-platform game in the near future according to a new listing on the Australian Classification Board.
Here we have an excellent new trailer for the upcoming Metro Last Light. I’m a pretty big fan of post apocalyptic settings myself, and I quite enjoyed the original Metro, even if it was rough around the edges here or there. Regardless, the latest entry looks to improve on pretty much every facet of the previous title while still clinging onto its oppressive atmosphere. Take a look at the trailer below.
Here we have a fresh trailer for Quanticdreams latest game BEYOND: Two Souls. This one just so happened to debut live at the Tribeca film festival, which seems fitting given its focus on narrative over gameplay. Check it out below!
Today Atlus released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei IV. The latest entry in the long-running Japanese RPG franchise is a 3DS exclusive and is set to release in North America on July 16th. As Atlus does have an excellent habit of doing for their bigger releases, pre-ordering will get you some extra special swag on release day in the form of a Limited Edition Box Set at no extra cost. It comes with a 176-page Strategy & Design Book produced by Prima Games, a Shin Megami Tensei Music Collection CD, and a “Collectible” Slipcase.
It seems that Rockstar Games are hosting a little viral video for GTA V on their official website. The NYC-based developer started putting out some strange tweets into a twitter feed for the Epsilon Program back in August of last year, which is also a religious cult that made an appearance in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and GTA IV. The video itself is quite trippy and worth a watch, especially considering that some people are reporting that it contains bits and pieces of in-game footage. Check it out below.
Well this is pretty cool! With Aliens: Colonial Marines just 5 days out from its US launch date of February 12th, Sega/Gearbox have released an extended cut of the previously seen “Contact” trailer. I’m not sure which one I like more, but this latest trailer has some pretty great scenes added on. Check it out below!
Today will see the release of Double Fine’s “The Cave”, a game I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time. While it isn’t the same project that was backed through Kickstarter, it still looks like one hell of a fun adventure/puzzle/co-op game. Check out the trailer below and see for yourself!
As a piece of advertising for the Black Ops II Revolution map pack, they certainly could have been far less inventive than this. Thankfully we get a pretty interesting little trailer even if the footage is rather sparse. Considering that this is the first map pack in CoD history to come with a new weapon and a new zombies mode, I just might pick this up. Check out the trailer below.
