To give you a sample of what people’s thoughts are, we’ve hand-picked a number of opinions and posted them below. Please accept our apologies for the (many) instances of iffy grammar:

Game looks beast, though I can see some people who are going to abuse some stuff on here like that electrical stunner at the beginning

I can’t wait for this, but I want different level/prestige emblems!! NUKETOWN 2025 FTW!!!!!!!!!

They need a better sprint animation, if he swings his hands any higher he’s gonna take off!

Screw my grades. I’m ready for some all nighties

Jesus f**king Christ this looks terrible. Nothing that makes a video game “better” than hiding behind a bunch of aerial support.

Yea it looks pretty gay if you Ask me.. It’s Like bf3 with a Halo outfit on. The have definitely stolen suppressive fire from bf3, and it’s so halo’ish. And very campy as well. I will not buy this game if zombies also suck balls. But I really hope the zombie mode is good on this, if not I might never play any treyarch games again. Black ops disappointed me to, so… And it is not really their thing to make future time cod, that is what modern warfare does, or activision, if you want that.
TheBoobsauce
LOOK ITS THE SAME GAME AS THE LAST COD
lolnewbowned
i think this game will be fun for a really long time because its not the same sh*t as every other cod this is gonna be great.
DahClaw72
Cod went down hill after W@W. Now its just 13 year olds that think the game is gonna be better than the previous CoD…….But it never is. Easy money for activision
Infision
I thought I was watching a Call Of Duty trailer, not a Crysis one.

To be honest, I feel CoD is starting to lose its touch. This is a dying franchise and yet people buy this game because of its community. Despite respective flaws of every CoD series, Cod 4 and MW2 remains enjoyable imo. No matter how much you put into a game, it’ll still be bland if people do not enjoy new ideas implemented and also the community that plays the game; mainly such a pc player such as myself.

MW = SSDD, Same Sh*t Different Developer

Looks nothing like Halo. A futuristic setting does not constitute Halo. If you’re going to go down that route, than Halo copied Deus Ex. Doesn’t make sense right? Ya know why? BECAUSE THERE’S NO ALIENS IN COD!

FINALLY CoD gameplay has been improved after years of barely improving it. And because of that I have more respect for Treyarch then Infinity Ward. I say : “Good Job Treyarch.” And before people are going to argue about the MW gameplay that it WAS improved… IT WASN’T, MW2 was just a prettier version of MW and MW3 a pretier version of MW2 that’s all. But besides that, I really love this gameplay trailer and certainly will pre-order this one. And it’s nice they give Nuketown2025 the best map
RandomDutchMan
HOLY $#@&! Multi team deathmatch, I’m buying this game without a doubt
pluigi18
This is exactly what this franchise needed: New features. Looks like Call of Duty found itself once again!

It amazes me how people can say an entire gaming series is ‘killed’ by two minutes of footage which does not represent the entire flow of the game, lets face it it’s call of duty it’s going to play like call of duty and the whole future thing could be good but we wont know untill it comes out.
ironhand4000
It’s like Gears of War mated with Battlefield 3 and produced Black ops 2. Think about it! Plantable riot shields is a inspiration from the boomshield from GoW. The graphics haven’t changed much, just the player models. If zombies can redeem this game, then I might buy it.
MechofHell
I’m so glad that Treyarch tries to attempt new things. They make much better stories in my opinion.
MarmaladeJacket
This looks decent. And for those complaining about camping…Legitimate strategy. Don’t like campers? Shoot them before they shoot you, thats the way the game is played children. Or throw your controller in rage and break it, so I don’t have to play with your whiny moronic self.
musiclife133
wow this the the first call of duty ive been excited to play… thanks treyarch for not following infinity wards way and making the same game again.
xryanxbeastx33
I think the cod series needed a new direction tbh, I love all previous cods but in my opinion the time wad coming were it needed a change. The multiplayer looks so much more fun and I’m sure the campaign will be very enjoyable to. Also the competitive scene looks to be a promise to…
deMoTive1
This looks utterly retarded….it’d be more fun playing Battlefield 2142 and that game’s about 4 years old. They’d probably have more success if they made another WWII shooter rather than going into the future.
TheTrollingChicken
“multi-team deathmatch” sounds sick. So do snipers with iron sights, and a knife that has to be equipped before using it.

Call Of Halo: Modern Duty 9
SODEMO2007
Years ago the everyone was never whining or hating Nowadays most people like to go on the Internet and just hate and troll Ps. Treyarch makes good games so does infinity ward but we all know who does better – Black ops 2 FTW!!!!! Until GTAV comes

Hell yea!!!!!! BO2 Gona be sik! Multiplayer looks awsome as well as campaign. Now to see what treyarck does best. ZOMBIES!!
marcosthecool1234
I guess that meens no more search and destroy. Seeing through walls? Gotta be kidding me…
kyle le
only getting this game because my friends are and i dont want to be left out. i have no hope for the campaign and im expecting multiplayer to follow the trend of being exactly the same as every other CoD game since the first modern warfare.
KneelOnR
I know that people will agree or disagree with this comment but I like the Modern Warfare series way more. I don’t know why really. I just always thought the Black Ops graphics and sound effects were somehow kinda cheap. Also in my opinion this futuristic stuff just seems kinda cheesy. It’s more fun when it’s realistic.

Who wants to see a tongue, that dances to Bruno mars’ lazy song! Of course you do, so head over to the YouTube search engine and type in “the dancing tongue”.

What do you think? Is Call of Duty’s future “Black”, as Treyarch’s trailer puts it, or bleak? Let us know in the comments field below.

Youtube comments are the bottom of the internet trashpile. I frequent numerous message boards, all of which have their loathsomely stupid and inane dregs, but nothing quite matches the typical Youtube comment section. I for one had pretty much hung CoD out to dry and decided not to give my dollars to the series any longer until they truly did something new with it, and with Black Ops 2, I truly think they’re trying to do that.
A non-linear campaign with branching paths and missions that you can choose to accomplish, ignore or outright fail, all of which will affect the storyline and supposedly even decide which characters live or die. A story and main villain penned by the writer behind the The Dark Knight. A soundtrack composed at least partially by Trent Reznor, frontman for one of my favorite bands. An upgraded zombies experience revamped inside the MP engine to allow the largest maps they’ve ever done, 8 player co-op, twice as many zombies on screen and even game modes.
All in all I’d say that the multiplayer is the part I’m looking forward to the least.

Thanks for the comment Taylor.
I’m on the fence about it. For its single player experience, I’m seriously considering it; I like the idea of a campaign with choice, a well-written narrative and the continuation of the excellent Zombies. Treyarch is taking a bold leap with Black Ops 2’s futuristic seeting, and from what I’ve seen of the SP element so far it’s paid off.
As for competitive multiplayer, I’m ready for Call of Duty to die out. Once upon a time CoD was a game for adults, a game where skill mattered – a game without cheap killstreaks, perks or abilities. Now it’s a noob fest, dominated by angry, abusive prepubescents who exploit and hack their way to the tops ranks. Can’t see Blops 2 being any different – yet…
Frankly, if there ever was a time for Crytek to make TimeSplitters 4, or Epic Games a new Unreal Tournament, it’s now.

Man, I’ve been waiting for Epic to make a new Unreal Tournament for ages now. I just hope that if they do, they stop using their whole “Buff McSteroid Brickson” visual style for their characters. I feel like I’m controlling a gorilla.
