Ressha Sentai ToQger - Ep 3 "Desperate once Convinced"

On her own, she doesn't repulse me. It does repulse me that she's a little girl who is being sold as a child bride, and has a crush on an adult male. In what way is that necessary or appropriate?

Lots of little kids have crushes on older people...not so many of them are child brides...

It's the same thing with Candellila and Luckyuro. They're villains. They're not supposed to be appropriate, as they're not role models. They could get fixed later, but it's okay for now.

On the "necessary" part: It's clear they're going the medieval route with this villains. It's not necessary, but it's part of the territory.

Great episode!

I don't know why everyone is disliking Kagura so much. She's a pretty typical Sentai-pink. Story to this episode had a lot to it, and it felt kind of rushed. But its cool that it is progressing fast and we had a lot of explanation to the question left last episode (explaining that their imagination saved them from the overtaken city).

Funny villain, also I laughed at Wagon taking the selfies. The show is so ridiculous - the whole Right sneaking up on the Conductor, the finishers, the train-based attacks. It's fun.

Again, I don't mind Kagura. She has the right mind-set and I can understand her want to find her home town. When she uses her imagination (dangerously  ), she was pretty badass!

At they end, they remember that their town was next to an ocean... Looks like they will be uncovering bits of their past each episode.

And nothing particularly new on the villain side, other than that Schawrz acknowledges Grita. Can't wait for the Shadow Line Commanders to enter the battlefield.

Medieval or 19th-century aristocracy? They're all dressed like upper-class Europeans. Schwartz could pass for Kaiser Bill or a Habsburg officer.

I still think Grita at least (if not the whole cast) should have had an actual actress. Really... it's a giant fat reptile pining over some ape dressed as a Prussian officer.

Behold...........there is finally an animated gif of "that moment"

And sadly, we also have this too

This episode wasn't bad. I like the pacing so far, with the exception of the first episode. What stands out the most as noteworthy for me are the new settings, and the world building by traveling. The exploration aspect is nice and something that's been lost for awhile. I hope they keep it up.

This - I think they're pretty clearly meant to be based on aristocrats/stock characters of the Industrial Revolution, which would be late 18th century through to the middle of the 19th century. It would tie into the show's theme being trains, after all.

Jesus, I guess Toei heard fans say that they want a male pink ranger, but one every episode? I hope this isn't a trend...

Okay so another good episode. I like pink having a huge imagination and all, but I hope they don't take the time for her to imagine herself stronger every episode.
I liked the monster design, I thought he looked menacing in the dark, but goofier in the sun, but he was still a cool monster design. I liked the pink red attack with 1 riding the sword. I think the cannon this episode was dumb, but it has potential to have some cool attacks. Wagons selflies where funny, but I don't really like her so far. I like Right alot, at first I wasn't sure but when him and kagura where talking on the train I liked his attitude. When the Tokkyu-oh broke out of the coffin I died.

Also the Toqboner is my new favorite thing ever.
