The "I actually liked Go-Onger" topic

I didn't start paying any attention to Sentai until last year, when Shinkenger came. I didn't like Shinkenger, or atleast the 15 episodes I saw. I decided to watch a WHOLE series instead, and watched Go-Onger (because the english version's plot, from what I read wasn't something I'd like, but I also read it was very different from the Sentai), and had no idea what to expect. What I got was a fun-to-watch Sentai that was genuinely funny at times, knew WHEN it needed to get serious and WORKED when it did, had a great soundtrack, characters that meshed together well, and for me a whole reminder of WHY I liked Power Rangers when I was a younger kid. Maybe it's because I went in not knowing what to expect (in the end that turned out to be a good thing, because from what I saw, most people who liked it actually knew it was supposed to be Comedy and not serious or had no idea what direction it was going in), but I loved the series. From what I've seen, tied with Timeranger and Abaranger it's my favorite.

This is the "I actually liked Go-Onger" topic. Arguments are accepted, but just remember, it's one's opinion whether they like it or not.

It wasnt that bad, I like some of the few episodes here and there. Not the best season, but I dont think its the worst, that title goes to Shinken. But thats for another subject.


So yeah, I liked Go-on.

There's a lot about the show that doesn't do it for me, but it's alright from what I've seen. I love Go-on Green and Black, and what they did with them in the Go-onger vs. Shinkenger movie.

Go-Onger's not my fav, but it wasn't that bad. There were some pretty sweet episodes that I liked like episode 23 where Sousuke beats Hiramekimedes (too long!:laugh and when Sousuke defeated Yogostein.

GO ON!!

I loved Go-onger! I loved Sousuke's hot blooded attitude, I loved the high octane battles, the ludicrous weapons and the playful Engines and off course the majestically outrageous Engine-Oh G12!

The action kicked butt, the characters were fun and the whole show was excitement from start to finish!

I loved Go-onger until the comedy went overboard during the second half of the series (most notably AFTER GP 25), the jokes got old and instead of laughing hysterically during the first half, I was literally cringing throughout.

The only thing I liked about it was the Engine's voices. They sounded cool. (Except Birca. He was annoying )

I think Go-onger would've needed to be more of a comedy (or a better comedy) for me to get into. It clearly wanted to be a Carranger that was a bit more marketable, but I think it ended up making itself too bland in the process.
