Geralt and his friends are getting shrunk down to Switch size this fall: CD Projekt Red and Saber Interactive (the ones making this version of the game) have confirmed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will become available for Nintendo’s handheld October 15.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
You can soon refer to Geralt as the Switcher: amazing as it may sound, his entire game is being shrunken down into a tiny, bad-tasting Switch game card. Saber Interactive is handling the port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and they say nothing will be left out, including all the DLC and extra cosmetics that have been added over the years.
In 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt took the video gaming world by storm. With the new console generation in full swing, The Witcher 3 was the immersive gaming experience that many players had really been waiting for. Plus with CD Projekt RED’s Witcher video game franchise making the transition to PlayStation, that just provided even greater exposure to the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. Hearts of Stone marks the first major expansion for The Witcher 3. CD Projekt RED provided a free DLC program for players, with some additional side quests and story-based missions, but this was something far bigger. In Hearts of Stone, Geralt of Rivia is set on a new quest and matched against a new dark adversary who is quite possibly more evil and sinister than anyone Geralt has faced before.

The Game Awards 2015 are in the books. Last night the award ceremony was held at the Nokia Theater in Los angeles, California. The big winner of the night was CD Projekt RED. In addition, CD Projekt RED received Developer of the Year, the other top award for the season. So The Witcher 3 makers are pretty much on top of the gaming world right now.

Fans of dark fantasy stories such as Game of Thrones, will be right at home in the world of The Witcher, which originated as a series of books from Andrzej Sapkowski. In the last several years, CD Projekt Red has grown into a significant development powerhouse through the success of The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings after it was released on the Xbox 360. Now, the franchise goes multi-platform for the final installment of CD Projekt Red’s Witcher trilogy, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
It’s always fun to see what could’ve been in regards to certain games. How they started out as one thing, then completely became another. For the popular Witcher series, it’s impossible to not think about it’s vast story, big world, and main character Geralt. But at one time…it honestly didn’t have any of that.
