CD Projekt RED has dropped the new launch trailer for the first major DLC expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Hearts of Stone. You can check out the new trailer in the player below. The latest trailer for Hearts of Tone features a hefty amount of new gameplay and juicy cutscene footage.
The release of Hearts of Stone is still one week away, but after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became one of the biggest hits in gaming of 2015, fans are certainly highly anticipating this new chapter in the story of the monster hunter Geralt of Rivia. In the new expansion, Geralt is hired to eliminate the bandit captain Olgierd von Everec, a man who has gained the power of immortality. In the new expansion, Geralt can choose his way through the adventure, along with recruiting a group of thieves, party with a ghost for the night, and outsmarting some bizarre creatures. Based on the new trailer, Geralt is branded and probably takes the job to hunt Olgierd rather reluctantly from a figure he met earlier in The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone launches on October 13. The expansion will feature over 10 hours of new story content, characters, monsters, a unique romance and a new storyline shaped by player choices. This includes the return of Shani, a medic who was a romance option in the first Witcher game from CD Projekt RED. Players will also be introduced to the new Runewords system, which will significant affect gameplay. Each Runeword will impact a different aspect of in-game mechanics, and they will let the players experiment with various strategies and tactics.
