Am I the only one who saw this coming the second ShinkenGold was announced for retail? As much as I hate it, it's not a shock at all.

Imagine what if such a thing happens to the KR SHfiguarts. Ryuki, Knight and Odin being regular releases, everyone else being exclusives. Though it's much worse for Sentai, since it's the first Sentai SHF series, and Bandai's already pulling the exclusive move on them (and in such an extreme way too).

The only thing that urks me about the Shinkengers is that Bandai didn't even give ShinkenRed or ShinkenGold a chance to show how Figuarts Sentai would sell. Sure, plans could change by then, but it just seems like they don't have faith in the line.

As for Ryuki, I'm sure more than just 3 would get a standard releases, but I'm pretty much anticipating it here too. I'm sure Ryuki, Knight, Zolda, Ouja, and maybe Raia or Odin would be regular releases. The others? Easy Exclusive material. Most of them were one shot characters, or in Ryuuga, Femme, and Verde's situation, exclusives to a movie/special.

That's why I'm actually appreciative of what Max Factory is doing. Sure, they don't have a catalog of other seasons they have to tend to as well, but at least every Dragon Knight Figma release, albeit being an "SP" release, actually gets released to retail at a really reasonable price.

They did give Shinkenred/Shinkengold a chance. The preorder numbers are through the roof. It's a massive success.

They're just making the rest exclusives to make sure there are no shelf-warmers. Nothing wrong with playing it safe like this, from Bandai's eyes. Sure, you might lose some profit on reissues, but who gets profit from reissuing blue/green/purple forms? Kuuga's weapon forms shelfwarmed when they were released! If they do this, they have little to no risk of having stock sitting in their warehouse, waiting to be TAXED.

Blank form.

Bastards.

EDIT: Oh look, Figuarts Tajadol!
