So I've officially reached the debut of Naoto and about to enter TimeFire's debut so I think I'll put more thoughts down on the show up until episode 27.
.As a child, I never really focused on the fact that Ryuuya was sending stuff back into the past and that no one knew who was sending the TimeRangers their mecha. I need to watch Gingaman again, but Kobayashi sorta did the same thing with OOO and giving us something to think about in the pilot episode. In OOO, it was the grasshopper yummy telling Eiji he would regret being OOO (which I think about now, hasn't been elaborated on except for the fact that he goes on a rampage) and for Time it was the question of who is sending stuff back into the past.
. Dorunero and Lila are definitely not as interesting as Gien in the first few episodes, using them just as comic relief from time to time. I know Dorunero redeems himself later on the series, so that's good. He's just a mafia boss. He wants money, and that's what he does, he doesn't necessarily have a greater scheme. They have Gien for that.
. Gien kinda reminds of a Maki if he wasn't in a show like OOO. I love how his face opens up though. I remember seeing Sargain in Hurricanger doing something similar. Definitely creepy.
. I love how Kobayashi has episodes where each cast member interacts with another, and it's not just the same pair doing stuff over and over again. Sure we have to have the Red interact with everyone, but Domon, Ayase and Yuuri get a fair amount of time to interact with one another.
. Domon falling in love is incredibly cliche, but man, I loved it then and I still love it now.
. Watching Goukaiger right now, I noticed how incredibly early 6th debuts are. I mean, Naoto debuts almost 3/5 of the way through TimeRanger, and we get GokaiSilver at episode 16? Times have changed for sure.
