There is something about Domon, that I really can't put my finger on that I enjoy. Maybe we need a another male yellow? We haven't had one since GaoYellow.

I didn't know Tsubasa was a girl

But it seems these days Toei wants to keep having two girls on the team, so Yellow is going to them. I still want to see a team without a Yellow again. That hasn't happened since Changeman.

I'm fine with keeping yellow as a team color. What I'd like to see is a male pink ranger. After all, Bret "Hitman" Hart used pink as his main color, right? :laugh:

So, I have gone through my 2nd run through of TimeRanger!!

. Ryuuya's appearance in 2000 was pretty awesome, yet diabolical at the same time. Intervening himself in order to make sure history went through its proper course. I guess this is where Masaru Nagai's acting chops got a workout. He was fantastic as Ryuuya and as Tatsuya. They felt really different. Kind of like what Fringe does with its alternate versions of its characters.

. We had a freaking night mecha battle in the rain!!!!! I haven't seen that ever! We don't have very many mecha fights at night anymore....

. I like the TimeRangers hangout. It's...I don't know how to describe it. Better than a cafe or a house or a lab, it's a like a completely new building in itself, I hope it reappears during Goukaiger.

. Naoto's death was in my opinion, better than Nakadai's. Even though Nakadai and TopGaler blew up in space, I think I enjoyed the whole 'trying to save a bird and get shot in human form by a grunt'. It's not a spectacular death, it's a very quiet, solemn and tragic death. I really loved TimeFire. The suit, the actor, the character, it was a brilliant character.

I don't know if Tatsuya would have kept Tomorrow Research going without the others there but I'd be willing to bet he's still running a martial arts school.

Well, looks like #TV-Nihon has gotten serious about this show after more than seven years in the shelf with just episode 1. Following Over-Time/SuperHeroTime releasing their fansubs (currently up to episode 4), #TV-Nihon has caught up, with the first five episodes now online.

I've finished episode 4 and I have a question for those who have watched most or all of the series: will there be a lot of sci-fi references to come? Shion comes from the planet Hubbard, which I suspect is named after a well-known author.

What about Hurricane Yellow & Magi Yellow? They were also played by males, too, besides Ki Ranger, Denji Yellow, Vul Panther, Goggle Yellow, Dyna Yellow, Yellow Lion, Yellow Turbo, Yellow Owl, TigerRanger, KirinRanger, Ninja Yellow, Ginga Yellow, Go Yellow, Time Yellow, & Gao Yellow that were also played by males in that color.

I've finished episode 4 and I have a question for those who have watched most or all of the series: will there be a lot of sci-fi references to come? Shion comes from the planet Hubbard, which I suspect is named after a well-known author.

There's a lot of sci-fi movie and literary references in Timeranger. They add another layer to the show if you get them, but the show is still completely enjoyable if you don't. I didn't get any of the references the first time I saw it, which makes it fun to track them all down now.

As I recall, Hubbard is by far the most blatant name shout-out to a specific author. I might be flaking on something, though.

Well the color Yellow differentiates on the character either male or female. But, it also holds a stronghold on building the particular personality of the sentai hero/heroine.
