A lot of these shows make mistakes and sorta fall short of expectations when it comes to the finale. But, we over-analyze them all the time, otherwise we lose sight of why we like these shows in the first place. Of course, shows can be written well and be very satisfying. Not saying it isnt possible. But, I think we just need to learn to accept these shows for what it is and remember the good parts of the shows rather than dwell on the failures.
Ill be the first to admit that shows like Faiz fell short at the end. I was pretty disappointed when I saw the finale, or rather the last few eps. But, that show hooked me for the longest time. The sort of simulated racial tension between the orphenochs and humans blew me away when I first saw it. I was like "This is a kids show...really?" So, Inoue did do something right if he could hook people in like that. But, the show wasnt perfect. And yeh, the whole texting fiasco pissed me off. But I liked the show as a whole.
As for the Decade ending, Im sorta glad that they gave us a cliffhanger. Up until I saw the trailer for the Decade/W movie, I had no clue that it was gonna exist. So I assumed that the Great Rider War would end in 2 eps and I knew that that wouldnt be satisfying at all. so, the fact that a whole movie will be dedicated to the Rider War brings a sigh of relief to me. I just hate that we wont see it till essentiall summer of 2010. And, I hope that Toei doesnt decided to do this all the time, cuz I wouldnt want to have to wait every year to see the finale to last year's show. It would be like waiting a year to see 24 or LOST.
