This morning, at a time when most of us were asleep ( 7 AM Pacific), Nintendo streamed out their latest Direct, detailing everything they have planned for the 2022 holiday season and beyond. As we usually do, we’ve taken notes on the entire video and created this list, in chronological order, of the Switch lineup revealed. (There were an unusually large number of farming sims this year.)
If this is the size of a Nintendo Direct Mini now, I don’t know how big the Nintendo Direct Maxi must be. The presentation went on for nearly a half-hour and introduced a new third-party title every minute. As we always do, we’re going to conveniently list them in order of release date….but the hugest announcement we’re going to keep off the list and talk about now: PERSONAS THREE THROUGH FIVE ARE CONFIRMED FOR SWITCH. We’ve been begging for this for a LONG time, and the begging only got louder when Joker became a playable character in Smash Bros despite having no presence on Nintendo consoles.
Today’s Nintendo Direct was HUGE — the Kirby image above is very apt, and will be explained in a little bit. There’s a lot to cover so let’s skip the introduction and get to it:
Now let’s get to the actual games. There will be plenty to keep Switch players busy through the remainder of the year, and some excellent stuff is now confirmed for 2022. Like a fully 3D Kirby, Splatoon 3 and the finally confirmed release window for Bayonetta 3!
If your social media feeds seem especially busy right now and people can’t stop making Chris Pratt jokes, there’s a reason: Nintendo just dropped another Direct. As we typically do, we’ll be listing the revealed Fall 2021 – Winter 2022 game lineup in order of release, but there were so many additional announcements, we couldn’t fit them all into one post. First, we have to mention what’s going on with Nintendo Switch Online….
It’s E3 month, and though that doesn’t mean what it used to, there will still be a substantially larger amount of video game news coming out in June than there will be the rest of the year. Sony ejected themselves from the conference years ago, but Nintendo is still participating…and they’ve revealed the time and date of their official E3 Direct.
At the recent Nintendo Direct, the Big N made sure to shed some more light on the highly anticipated Splatoon 2, and they did so by unveiling an all-new mode called Salmon Run.
Nintendo has revealed that a special Nintendo Direct will be held on Wednesday at 3pm Pacific Time/6PM Eastern/5PM Central. The fun part as you’ll see in the tweet below is that not only will Nintendo be talking Nintendo Switch and 3DS, but also, they’ll be focusing on Splatoon 2 and Arms. Which is good, because now we know at least a little in regards to what we can expect.
Nintendo revealed some enlightening news for this week’s Nintendo Direct, which was the final Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct video presentation. You can watch the complete presentation in the player below. But among the announcements were two new DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS, including Bayonetta.
The Nintendo Directs were the creation of former Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, as a way to give new information about game *does hand motion* directly…to us. Yet with his passing, many wondered if they would continue. Then, the Nintendo Directs returned, and in a big way.
In the first Nintendo Direct since the passing of former president Satoru Iwata (who made the Nintendo Direct’s famous), Nintendo dropped numerous bombshells, release dates, teasers, and more. Here is the full recap straight from Nintendo itself. Or, if you prefer to see the Direct, you can check it out here.
In a surprise to many, Nintendo let loose a special “Nintendo Direct Micro” to fill in gamers on some titles that were upcoming, as well reveal some information about titles already released. Here’s the breakdown!
