your feelings on Kamen Rider Blade

(looks at watch)

...King, dude, you're slippin'. I expected you to start showing up and slamming people for having different tastes a whole hour ago!

Sigh. I wasn't slamming anyone. But if that's all you can come up with, then there is little point discussing this with you. It's sad that this crap is all you can reply with. Sad.:redface2: And a little pathetic. But like I said, if this is all you can come up with, instead of really discussing this, you aren't worth the time.
It's because we've had this discussion before in multiple flavors by now and I'm getting tired of addressing a running gag. Someone comes in, says what they think on a series, then you pop in and say their way of evaluating a their chosen form of entertainment is silly/sad/pathetic, then you shake your head It's the toku-watching equivalent of "lern 2 play noob," and I have watched you do this without fail. On a good day, you might back yourself up with an explanation, but overall I've consistently seen you be quite derisive against the viewer rather than addressing the show in question. That last part is really the only problem I have.

(...I'd be more against this practice if it weren't so utterly comedic. I actually like watching it happen.)

I get that you're passionate about the stuff you like, man. But other people are too, in differing ways.

Yeah it did. Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean it didn't know where it was going. The story built up over time.

No, it didn't. This has nothing to do with liking the show or not, but there were some plot threads in those first episodes that have nothing to do with the way Blade's plot turned out. In fact, they directly contradict it.

Hajime goes crazy the first time he hears the word "Kamen Rider", but later there's nothing showing that he knew about Riders before Blade - something that only happened after that incident.

Isaka talks about an analysis of a reaction in Chalice's suit in the episode with the Kenzaki/Chalice battle in his lab (And he was already analyzing it by that point, so his statement wasn't made out of ignorance).

Now, of course, his green blood was shown pretty early on, so I'm not saying that he wasn't supposed to be an Undead, but the nature of his Rider form, and maybe the origin of Riders in general, must have been changed somewhere along the way. Chalice's design itself clearly wasn't originally made to be just a random Undead with a minor alteration.

He was in his right mind. He wanted Hajime to have the family he wouldn't be able to have otherwise. Kenzaki sacrificed his humanity for friendship. Honestly, and I might get **** for this, but anyone who can't see that is blind.

Kenzaki can sacrifice his life or his own humanity for Hajime if he feels like it, but he had no right, as an hero, to let innocents die for him. The series never calls him out on it too, only focusing on his own sacrifice. That's why I think the ending is hypocritical.

How about this, if you are going to take part in a thread discussing a show, then PM me so I can avoid that thread. That way I won't post my feelings on the show, and you won't have any reason to get upset. Win win right? Anyway.

I loved blade. And since it bugs Pix here for me to express my feelings on the show, I will leave it at that.
You... oh my God. Did you just not read my post where I said my only problem with you was your derision towards viewers? I mean, you had to have read it, right? You quoted it!

Cripes, man. If this is what I gotta deal with, then fine, I'll just drop it. I've made it a personal point since a couple years back to avoid dealing with hopeless causes.

Damn straight.

 I'll give you that.

Blade is one of the three series that took me the longest to finish.

Kuuga - I didn't lost interest, but I just completely forgot about it after episode 40.
Blade - Stopped midway, and for some reason didn't wanna continue. I practically forced myself to.
Hibiki - Stopped after episode 3....dunno if I wanna finish it.

I liked the use of monster abilities in your arsenal, though Ryuki did that to an extent (Contract Monsters make your Rider, so saying that using actual monsters can't really apply...). I always found that concept to be the most interesting. But it tells you how many monsters there are in general, and that's also sort of boring to know that there aren't enough monsters compared to other series.

I liked the Mirror Monsters. At first we didn't know what they were but we later find out that there is an amount that slightly is larger than the ones meant to come from the source.

Blade >'s anything that has been done on Kamen Rider since that show ended. Nothing from Hibiki-OOO can top it, imo.

Is it just the stuff that was new and that was presented in Blade?

Half assing a series deserves no respect.

What?

Well done.
