your feelings on Kamen Rider Blade

I'm still pretty much a Kamen Rider newbie, but I started watching Blade and got sucked in on episode 1. Everything about it is just so engrossing. I'm on ep. 21 now, but unfortunately my home computer has died so I'm stalled for now. :(

Kenzaki can sacrifice his life or his own humanity for Hajime if he feels like it, but he had no right, as an hero, to let innocents die for him. The series never calls him out on it too, only focusing on his own sacrifice. That's why I think the ending is hypocritical.

Of course the ending never calls him out on it, because that would miss the point. The point being that he DIDN'T let any innocents die for him. Its easy to assume that he did, but that's not what the show was pointing you to.

-I still like Round Zero ~Blade Brave~ better than Elements, but I heard the second song is more popular. Why? I never understood that...

Difference of opinion? I like Elements wayyyy more than I like Round Zero. More emotion.

-I still don't like Amane. That mother needs to have some back bone and spank that girl. I know I could never get away with acting like that in MY family. No sir. Why is that she only becomes a better person by the END of the movie? What's worse about this is, the movie isn't even cannon! It's just an alternate ending to the series!

She's worse in the movie than she is in the series, though. We're agreed on her behavior though. She's supposed to be spoiled, a bit, and dealing with the anger from losing her father...but I don't think characters *ever* get sympathy for that.

-I still think Jack Form is better than King Form. Something about going from being able to fly to not being able to fly just seems like a down-grade to me.

Three Words: Royal Straight Flush.

-The movie was epic, but to me, it just was not as epic as the Faiz movie, which I saw first.

To each their own. I hated the Faiz movie. Then again, I hated Faiz, so...

The Blade movie, more than anything, is just kinda "there". It's decent, but the series is much better. (Boggles the mind how Kenzaki took Joker down in *base* form, though.)

Blade is one of my favorite series of all time, in a three-way tie between Kuuga and Agito. (Possibly a four-way tie, depending on how W grows on me.)

The series showed some brief scenes of Roaches attacking people without Riders around. So, yes, he did let innocent people die for his friend.

That'd be an acceptable ending too, with Kenzaki deciding to protect what is close to him, unable to protect everything, but that wasn't what Blade's narrative was trying to show.

The roaches were everywhere. The riders couldn't be every where at once. You should really think a little more about what you are saying. Just a suggestion. I mean that would be like saying some firemen let some people burn to death because they were across town putting out another fire.

The problem here is that Kenzaki knew how to put out the fire everywhere at once, but didn't do it because he didn't want to seal (not even kill) his friend.

Yes, he had another plan which eventually stopped the roaches, but that meant letting them attack people for a while. He basically prioritized Hajime's life over the life of innocents. And Blade's narrative in no moment tried to show that Kenzaki had given up and decided to not follow the path of a hero, trying to portray Kenzaki's decision as a pure self sacrificial choice.

However, that just doesn't work unless he killed every single Roach as soon as they appeared, and the episodes show that it wasn't the case.

He wanted to help his friend. You are all caught up on this HERO HERO HERO stuff.
