Didn't expect to see you in Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

Yeah the hair is blond and Hana never carried a rapier and I guess she never wore boots in the Den-Liner either but I confess I did a double-take when I saw that pic. As for this pic...

Does anybody else besides me think that the chick looks like the Kiva girl, the Fangaia hunter from 2008 who meets Wataru?

You're probably right about someone at square-enix being a Kamen Rider fan. As I understand it this isn't the first derivative costume design they've had. I don't think they're copying per say.... just the producers are like 'we have this girl lead character who needs a costume... we don't care what she wears just make it unique and attractive' and the developer is like 'well Hana was cool and then dissapeared... i want to see her around again'. Then voila, Hana based costume.

I think it's pretty neat myself. A nice fan referance without being completely obvious like the referances to Kamen Rider you normally see in media (ie-redscarf/belt/gloves). Though it pains me that in the future if someone cosplays as Hana, people are going to assume it's this character because you know that this game will be WAY more popular than Hana from Den-O.

I'm sorry but I don't see the resemblance with the actress who played Hana in Den-O.

However, the redhair looks very similar to Hamasaki Ayumi (from her time when she still had long, red hair). I wouldn't be surprised if someone at Square-Enix likes her music.

With respect to Den-O's Hana, the reference is nothing more than the fact that the girl in the first pic is togged in an outfit very like Hana's. As for the facial resemblance, it's between the redhead (girl in bottom pic) and a character in Kamen Rider Kiva, Megumi Aso the Fangire hunter, the one who was in a pinch before Kiva came stepped in in ep 1. I found the resemblance very striking, with the same hairdo down to similar earrings.

Hope that cleared up some confusion.

Resemblence in outfit, yes. Anything else, I'm leaning toward no.
