Should Yasuko Kobayashi just stick to Sentai?

I actually thought Asakura was already dead when Tojo grabbed that bike handle thingy while Asakura was asleep in the car, or when he was finally re-captured for the nth time? I mean seriously, he was really immortal... Not to mention he survived a car-explosion... But all else aside, he was indeed a hero of villains around, he just wanted to be bad so he is bad. :buttrock:

Not to mention even in the closing credits, he still manages to piss off Shinji when his bike was blocking his way, very typical Asakura which is why he's so fucking adorable.

In the case of Zolda... I would have preferred if he had died in episode 47 when he dropped his cup of coffee, I mean I was already emotional then... But I guess they had to try and still do that tragedy between Reiko and Kitaoka, the ironic twist that the moment Reiko comes, Kitaoka was no longer around. Still a great ending for him.

But my favorite Ryuki-death scene is still Imperer, it was really tragic for a guy who doesn't really want to fight and end up like that. For a guy who just wants more for himself which is normal for a human to be and end up slowly disintegration and be so near yet so far from somebody you thought you can finally be happy with. :disappoin

I really loved how she wrote Ryuki even with all of those obvious Toei strings.

No. Ryuki is one of the best Kamen Rider series. TimeRanger and Gingaman are great series, but no where near Sentai's best. And you forgot to mention Kobayashi did the live action Sailor Moon series, which was is incredible.

Of all the people I thought would speak up in PGSM's favor, Dr. Kain, I have to say that I wouldn't have imagined you.

It was a fantastic show, but I wonder if Naoko Takeuchi getting extensively involved kind of kept Kobayashi from falling into any of her usual excesses. I know Takeuchi is supposed to have personally vetted all of the live-action changes to the story and character.

It was also produced for the first big Sailor Moon anniversary, so I could imagine Kobayashi feeling like more was riding on her work than when she writes J. Random Sentai or Rider for a year.

That makes, HM, me, and FK.

Count me in too ^^

Also, what's up with all this Kobayashi hate? I mean, she's brought Timeranger and Den-O into the world. No matter what your opinion is on these shows, they are two COMPLETELY different shows with completely different characters. I call that diversity and it makes me happy that someone like that can be writing for Toei. People always spew stuff about Inoue ONLY being grim-dark, but this women can write a serious series, and one laden with fun ^^ So why the hate for her and the undeserved hate for OOO?

What I meant was that I don't like calling a villain character a Kamen Rider. .-.

Well, that doesn't seem to be a big issue for me though. Call a villain Kamen Rider as long as he deserves it, and in my book, Asakura definitely deserves it.

Count me in too ^^

Yeah, I see Kobayashi as someone who's writing skills are flexible. Might not be exactly the Showa style lone ranger type lead characters who's only motivation is to bring down the enemy organization, but her works are unique and sometimes a breath of fresh air. Not gonna say anything about Den-O, but the level of drama in Ryuki is definitely worth praising.

Well, my opinion of Den-O at this point is this: Whether you like it or not, it's doing so well that SOMEONE has to like it.
