Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - Talk Up!

Bushido *is* an abstract moral point. It doesn't matter how we feel about it. Heck, there's an entire Trope dedicated to it. But Bushido is part of what makes the characters themselves. If you try to change that now, they would be acting contrary to the person they had been for the last 40+ episodes. They could do it, sure, but they'd have to pay for it. And there aren't really enough episodes left for them to deal with the aftermath at this point.

That's true. But then how would Genta killing Juzo break that moral code, when the alternative is putting the samurai lord and the rest of humanity in mortal danger?

So I just saw Samurai Ha-oh for the first time and...

WHAT THE **** AM I LOOKING AT?! Its like all the Origami shatters into LEGO pieces and stack up into some uncomprehensible mess! The colors are everywhere and its a real mess oO

And people complained about G12 being a clusterfuck?! Jesus!

Some moron on Youtube said it had 'elegant armor'...whut? o.O

Guh I hate the Shinkenger mechas.

The ends don't always justify the means. For Genta to show Juzo compassion & mercy dosen't make weak. It makes him a true samurai.

Can we please just ignore topic derailers who will never change their opinion?

I am not derailing the topic. It's still to do with Shinkenger!

I also can't see why killing Juzo would have been out of character for Genta, as he's ... not very well developed. But then this is Sentai, none of the characters are

Did I miss the last 43 episodes? They seem pretty developed to me.

You're thinking of a very different "true" warrior. Sounds to me like you're thinking of the viking warriors, who would kill anyone and anything.

A "True" warrior is very different from a Samurai. A samurai is a noble fighter. Killing a wounded opponent, when you didnt cause the wound yourself, is considered an outright cowardly thing to do.

I've been over this in other posts. Cooking, cleaning and childcare are things even the dimmest idiot could do, and are a waste of any intelligence or talent a woman might have had.

There's this thing called natural selection. If intelligent women were to stop bearing children, then we would stop having intelligent women. Capiche?

Just because a woman has a child doesn't mean she has to give up her entire life to look after the thing. Truly intelligent women (who aren't brainwashed by male chauvinists) don't want to be housewives.

I still find Genta a weak character but I can't say any more about the bushido thing, because I'm not informed enough. I'll take your word for it until I can be bothered to Google ...
