The Gedoushu, malevolent demonic beings that exist within the realm of the dead on the Sanzu River. Cursed to remain between life and death they rely on the the tainted waters of the river for survival, and thus rely on the negative emotions of the living to sustain it. Some free themselves from thist tortuous existence by freeing themselves of whatever damned them to it to begin with. But many have chosen another method. A Gedoushu known as Doukoku Chimatsuri leads these Gedoushu in an undending to crusade to terrorize humanity, sending them one by one throught the dark crevices in the world of the living, and causing the Sanzu River the gradually rise in hopes of eventually flooding the world of the living. Doing so would unleash a terror the likes of which could eternally sustain him and all other Gedoushu.
There has been only one defense against these relentless invasions, the Shiba Clan and its vassals. By fighting as samurai warriors known as Shinkengers and utilizing the power of modikara,an art of turning words written in the air to create various effects, they continued to fight off the Gedoushu. Adding to their power was the the secret disks and Origami which allowed them to perfectly adapt to any and all situations, including gigantically sized Gedoushu. There was one weakness within them, and that was the Shiba Clan itself. Should it's bloodline be eliminated, the Shinkenger would be forever crippled and left without a means to seal away the Gedoushu. Knowing this Doukoku launched a large scale invasion and began to hunt down every last Shiba within the nation of Japan in hopes of removing their biggest obstacle. Their hunt proved to be successful , with ever last Shiba within the country beind killed. The four vassal families and the servants of the now dead clan were spared, if only for the fact that they werent even considered to be a threat now. The one thing halting this invasion was the fact that their relentless efforts ended up absorbing most of the waters of the Sanzu River, forcing them to return to their small scale invasion methods once more while the river replenishes.
Now the eighteenth generation of Shinkengers struggle to hold back the Gedoushu, their strength lessened by the core of their forces gone. Without a member of the Shiba clan they would never seal away the Gedoushu, without them they could not use the Samurai giants or access the auxiliary origami disks. Even with the four vassal Shinkenger's skill it was an uphill battle at best.
Things looked to be at their worst with no hope of getting better. That is until a miracle was discovered. While the Gedoushu had killed all members of the Shiba family in Japan one thing had been over looked, one woman known as Megumi Shiba who had left for the United States of America. Due to her decision to leave and abandon the legacy of the Shiba family she was erased from the family's records, but the servants would remember her as well as the news of a son. Somewhere in the United States there was a young man with the Shiba blood in his veins who could very well bring about the revival of the clan and be a great aid in driving back the Gedoushu forces. Knowing next to nothing about him, and knowing only where he could be the Shinkengers have been sent to find him so that he may take his rightful place among them, but is he the salvation they hope for?

Allies:
Hikoma Kusakabe/NPC:
Faithful servant to the Shiba clan even after their apparent destruction, clinging to the hope that somewhere out there one of them was still alive. His hope was rewarded when he discovered the last Shiba, known as Keith Young who was living somewhere in America. Unfortunately he is unaware of the fact that the last Shiba isnt exactly what they were hoping for. Will eventually have the arduous task of turning Keith into a proper head of the clan, and trying to make sure he keeps the bloodline going. Uften insists on referring to him as Keith Shiba instead.

My bio:
Name: Keith Young
Age: 20
Appearance:
Gear: Shodo Phone
Origami: Lion
Weapons: Rekka Daizantou, Shinkenmaru
Bio: Born and raised in the USA, Keith is a half Japanese, though that half doesnt even seem to show on him as he bears almost no resemblance to his mother and instead takes after his father in appearance. It is no surprise that he is completely unaware of his heritage, to the point where the only Japanese word in his vocabulary is "Godzilla" which may or may not even count. Upon hearing about the fate of the rest of the clan his mother did all she could to distance themselves from the Shiba clan, not wanting them to be targeted by the Gedoushu for elimination. It also came with the knowledge that someday he may be burdened with leading the clan and dedicating his life to fighting against the Gedoushu, a fate that she did want to force upon him. Though regardless she did ensure that he did some training just in case and could at least spell the character for "Fire" just in case, even if she did warn him that if some group claiming to to be samurai or envoys of the clan to ignored them and avoid them as much as possible. Put simply she did all she could to ensure that Keith would have no interest in anything relating to samurai, to the point where he wasnt even allowed to watch movies or tv shows that had samurai characters.
As the years went on it looked like there wasnt any danger of him walking the path of the samurai with him growing into a laid back and free spirited individual whose main interest was music. He eventually began to drift around from place to place almost aimlessly, while keeping in contact with the family and keeping himself fed with his talent for playing the electric guitar and a rather impressive singing voice. In time he ended up banding together with other individuals with similar talents eventually forming into a full fledged rock band. They had talent and they had quite a sound but they lacked one crucial element: not a single one of them could write music worth a damn. It was one single flaw but a big one that would forever keep them from being one of the greats in the world of rock and roll as no group could achieve greatness on cover versions alone. Nonetheless they managed to at least keep themselves going due to thee fact that they could at least play well known rock songs such as Stairway to Heaven, Iron Man, Back in Black for prices far cheaper than that of the actual bands. In truth the whole thing leaves a rather bad taste in Keith's mouth as they are merely leeching off of the established legacies of others rather than forging their own. But he sticks with it as that is more or less all he has, and while it isnt perfect it is still fairly enjoyable and at least it would continue giving him a small taste of the rock and roll lifestyle that was his ultimate goal.
Unknown to him though his mother's efforts to keep him hidden from his "comrades" across the sea have indeed failed with Hikoma Kusakabe's vigilant efforts to find any remaining trace of the Shiba family somewhere. As he travels through smaller cities in California, performing alongside his bandmates, the Shinkenger have been dispatched to locate him and see to it that he takes his rightful place and turn the tide in the battle against the invading Gedoushu forces. Even if he doesnt live the life of the samurai, he has the blood of one, and in time he wont be able to remain oblivious of it anymore.
To say that his lifestyle and the one that he is "destined" for wont mix well seems to be a forgone conclusion. As it is he frequently forgets that he is half Japanese and cant even speak or read the language. Whether or not he will even be able to communicate with his vassals has yet to be seen, which could also lead to quite a few problems. Not only that but it is highly unlikely that he will change the way he thinks and acts to conform to the life that the seek to force on him and will likely not even want to remain in Japan for long. He is the last Shiba, and thus the only hope for the clan's revival but is far from being the ideal successor, and will likely be unable to live up to the expectations of those that will eventually be placed under his command. Can a rocker be a samurai? Only time will tell.
