It's getting there, episode 2 was an improvement over episode 1 that's for sure. The duel on the train was the highlight of the episode and I love how self aware this show is.
But I'm still finding myself far more vested in what the villains are up to then anything the heroes are doing, I'm still having trouble remembering the Tokkyuger's names half the time.
Speaking of the Tokkyuger…I'm already quite irritated by Pink's "I think I can" shtick.
Same self-deprecating humor, but different styles. Whereas Kyoryuger's humor only hit you if you realized what it was trying to do, this one is more direct to the point.
Really enjoy this episode. I think ToQger has its potential. I like the idea of having travel to one station of the week and base the story on that station. Exciting concept rather than having monster of the week randomly appear somewhere in the town.
the details are good and the duel on train is interesting to follow. Keep it guy ToQgers!
"hey treat line change like a toy gimmick"
He's onto something...
So i guess it's the "meet #4's logic" episode, just like ep.3 seems to be "meet #5!".
Seriously... that one's a big, voluntary clue if i've never seen one...
Not too sure what to make of it.
I can accept it's some kid's delusion, mostly because Right barely had any interaction outside ToQ crew, shadow monsters, that boy and the old man asking them why they aren't dueling.
But i guess the reveal will be very gradual, even have one of the Shadow bosses offer him a path to awakening...
