Madan Sennki Ryuukendou

Is the series any good? I saw a clip in a Toku amv, and I may want to check it out. ^^;

So yeah, if anyone has seen the series, is it one to watch or not watch?

The only thing I liked about it was the Ryujinoh arc. Overall it's a pretty good series and much better then I originally thought it was going to be. Definatley check it out.

I lol'd when I saw this. I gotta see this series now.

Ryukendo has gotten highly overrated in recent years. Some real nuts even claim it to be one of the best tokus out there :laugh:

But it is a decent show. As far as comedy goes (and the show is a comedy), it's better than Sentai's annoying absurdities in that it's not overexposed, shoved-down-your-throat, but almost Seinfeld-like in its casualness. In the context of the premise (a small town afflicted with local supernatural poltergeistic incidents), it works a lot better than in most Sentais and even Riders. And what a shock, a male role played by a masculine male actor. Gen he can pull off the detective-type character better than Ren Kiriyama does in W.

But it's also the only toku of this decade that Takara was any good with. What made Ryukendo work is completely lacking in the dreadful Tomica Hero franchise, but they still insist on treating it as though it were still Ryukendo.

Lastly, I request more Hiroko Sato performances in future shows, Toei, Takara, whatever. And that girl who played Umi, Kenji's fiancee, as well. What the heck is her name?

I recall hearing a lot of complaining about how it was subtitled back when it aired, but that's all.

The series was decent even if its kinda like a Kamen Rider Heisei toku..:laugh: At least its kinda better than Sazer X..:thumbs:

I think my Avatar and Sig should prove that I love this series with all of my heart. Yes watch it. its best for people to step out of the Kamen Rider/Sentai Clutch's sometimes.

Lol, if you say it's decent, I probably have to go see it. :sweat:

Oh. Did TVN sub it, or some other group?

The serious **** in the series is really what caught my attention. Ryujinoh arc FTW.

He's the blonde dude right? XD. Looks cool, reminds me of the singer from Vistlip.

Ooh, so it's like a heisei series? Kuuga/Agito Heisei or Den-O Heisei?

((I always figured that was someone from Tomica Hero Rescue Force. LOL!))
