7 IMO has major plot holes that are never filled in. They also didn't bother to FINISH The god damn game until that stupid FF7 CGI movie.

I'm all for a remake, but Square Enix has many projects that are well overdue for release.

Some people say this, and IMO, it's just well.. It makes no sense.

I don't think that the merge had anything to do with the "decline" of their games. Square just try to appeal to different areas and some of them... Well fail.

But Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts - Birth by Sleep were to of the best games I've played, and they both came after the merge.

Back to the remake issues. If Square HAD to remake a FF game and it was up to me, even though my favor FF game is 9, I would still remake 7 because otherwise I'm never going to finish it :sweat:

Jacky, since a whole lot of us think this will not come into fruition (FF7 remake), maybe you should have the thread closed. Just a suggestion. :anime:

I thought the ten-bajillion spinoffs and prequels served to fill most of these holes? Personally at least, I'm a lot less confused by the story now than I was, say, 10 or so years ago. :B
And I'm pretty sure FF VII was finished, story-wise… Advent Children didn't exactly add much in terms of actual story and didn't really feel that much like a closure, either, but just a lot of fightin' and lookin' "badass" for the rule of cool's sake.
