Digimon Xros Wars - Talk it Up!

Guess you guys don't like normal evolutions...
I'm just a little curious on what's Shoutmon's normal evoltion would be. :D

My problem is

* This show has already totally ditched the concept of levels with a rookie owning a ultimate, so it'd just be painful
* 02 added them for no real reason despite the Armor evolutions working. They could've still done DNA with the armors, so there was no reason to have normal ones.
* DigiXros is the entire basis for the show, why would they ditch it? That's right, NONE.

Leave shoutmon evos for spin-off games or maybe the new Mini

I'm sorry, Garfield.

A hiatus is killing the show very slowly. If they decides to keeping it up, the digimon franchise will be finished for good.
I seriously doubt that. I don't think Japan is as impatient as us when it comes to certain things.
Case and point Hunter X Hunter keeps coming back after years of hiatus.

Anyone want to bet the Sand Zone would be something like this:

Ba'almon: *sees something and throws loyalties to Xros Heart*
Xros Heart: You know, you should stop being morally ambiguous.
Ba'almon: *does some badass equivalent of "lol no"*
Ba'almon: *gets in trouble*
Xros Heart: *displays their amazing good loyalty in action and/or speech*
Ba'almon: *becomes slightly less morally ambiguous*

Because judging from the episode summaries, this arc will be about Ba'almon's character growth.

You mean like Dorulumon? :D

Well, of course I like normal evolutions. It's not like I'm not interested in it. I just don't want to see it in the show because that would just be awkward unless 1) Riku Sanjou is such a master of writing that he can write it in the show without it looking awkward or copying what 02 did or 2)DigiXros becomes completely unfunctionable. The kids could still use Armor Evolution in 02 but didn't because "hey look! Jogress is sooo much cooler right?"

I'd leave it for the games where levels actually exist.

And Berserk!

Isn't that the case in like 99% of animes though? Forget ____ form when you have Super ____ form.

(Yeah, that worked so well in Kiva right?)

Okay but seriously, when that happens it tends to becomes the new gimmick so it seems more feasible and seamless. Like why use Kaio-Ken when Super Saiyan was foreshadowed for so long and Kaio-Ken leaves so much of a strain on the body? Clearly Super Saiyan is the better choice.

Or, why use Exia when the world has advanced their mecha so far ahead that it would be useless considering how it got owned in the first episode of S2? Clearly 00 Gundam is the better choice.

This was more like, "new gimmick incoming. Screw the other one!" Maybe if they had incorporated Jogress with Armor Evolution or maybe had some weird effect that deactivated use of the Digimentals so they had no choice but to evolve then I think it would have worked better.

Yeah it would of made more sense for the Armor's to use Jogress but either way the end result would of been Paildramon and the other 2 taking the spotlight. It was probably a "more toys" thing.

And yeah it worked in Kiva! Just look at how awesome Baasha Fever was!

The smartest move Riku Sanjo ever did was removing the "normal levels" from the original Digimon incarnations.

I believe that was one of the flaws of Digimon Frontier................they tried to do something new with the "levels" but they never totally got rid of the whole "rookie, champion, ultimate, mega" levels at all. At the same time, Frontier had a bland storyline to add to it.........so Frontier was a fail

The fact that you could still sense that there were levels in Frontier definitely stopped the American fans from freaking out. I remember the trolling when we found out the kids were the digimon.

It also help that most American fans stopped being fans after season 3. XD
