your feelings on Kamen Rider Blade

So what did everyone think about Kamen Rider Blade, personally I felt it has an odd little place in kr history, cards, biological riders, emo drama, eh still somewhat enjoyable.

what does everyone else think?

I honestly could not make it through the first episode. I might bite the bullet during break, but I wouldn't count on it.

only blade king form and chalice wild form make me watch it...others are juz crap...especially mutsuki...IMO

Blade was one of the most amazing series ever. It is my 2nd favorite Kamen Rider series.

I love Blade. Third favorite series and it was my second before W came in.

I do agree with the notion that it's beginning episodes aren't the best first impression but it gets way better down the line.

Love the devices and gear, can't stand the suits.

I also loved the first episode, but then a friend and I trucked through about 10 more before the show even tried to tell us what was going on about anything. We get it, guys! There's mystery and suspense afoot! Let us in on it!

I refuse to give any more of my time to a show that considers itself too good to give me any of its. People keep trying to tell me that Blade is "worth it", but god damn, even Ryuki had given me things to go on by now. I have never given a show this many second chances.

In the first 10 episodes or so, not even the show knew where it was going, so they couldn't really give any answers.

Several of the early hints don't make any sense with answers that are given after only 8 or so episodes. Afterwards, at least, the series becomes "stable" and everything mostly makes sense if you ignore the 10 first episodes or so.

Anyway, I enjoyed some moments, like King form's debut and some of the developments, like the initial participation of the second enemies, but I'm not very fond of it. Any screen time given to Mutsuki was a waste of time, unless someone really loves dragged on brainwashing stories, and the ending twist was just hypocritical.

I can understand Kenzaki sacrificing himself for his friend, but not him allowing other people to die for his friend, and that's effectively what he did by letting the Roaches attack more and more often rather than sealing Hajime at once. He did destroy Roaches, but there were several times roaches were attacking without any Rider around for a while, so he can't possibly have saved everyone.

Also, the cards were generally pretty underused, aside from slowing down the combat sequences. They were almost always only used in combination for final attacks, rarely getting their abilities used by themselves.

I thought it was a pretty good series. I didn't mind the fact that the first ten episodes or so didn't make much sense in the long run because I rather enjoyed watching those episodes. The only downside to the series I thought was the fact that Mutsuki's arc went on for far too long and often seemed to flip flop with no idea of where it might be going in the long run. The Undead are my absolute favorite tokusatsu villains because of their designs and the backstories that a lot of them have, so it was a lot of fun watching them progress throughout thee series.

I always took this as Kenzaki being really desperate to save Hajime and just not in his right mind at the time (and I think others picked up on this too), it goes to show that he was still a pretty flawed guy by the end of it and that the effects of King form might have been showing themselves on him already by making him do things that might not be the best of choices in the end of the world scenario.

I liked it BUT the ending completely puts me off and ruins anything the rest of the show had going for it. Otherwise, it was a pretty enjoyable series and would have ranked high on my list of favourites
