Who is the most violent toku hero?

And his exceed form has more spikes and blades than a medievil siege engine.

Best comment I've seen all day.

Well I am all about Gills and think Amazon is a bad ass...but their has to be someone else.

That first fight Jiro had against the Spider Undead comes to mind...that was amazing...But Jiro isn't exactly the hero of the series.

Hmmm...Wouled Guyver count for this one. I mean he is one of the most violent heroes...ever.

Though my favorite (if you count it as Tokusatsu) would be Hellboy. He doesn't want to be violent, and he isn't exactly good at it, but you got to say something about a guy who can take a beating like that and still shoot off a wise crack as he is punching you with a stone fist like a sledge hammer. May be too far off subject to count though...but hey, free forum.

My problem is the integral of 1/(3x+1)^2 with respect to x going from 1 to infinity, but I can do it.

Now answer my question.

I did.

I think Seven may be, but Amazon I could conceive being a bloody combatant.

I hadn't considered the Guyver, who definitely would take the cake if anime was counted.

Though live action Guyver isn't exactly bloodless...in the second movie anyways.

The second was the btter movie but links I do not have. I don't even think i ever got to see the second one. The first one was....pretty bad.

One of the reasons I like Gills so much is that he basically IS a Toku Guyver. Same look, same weapons (minus the chest cannon).

If Guyver counts as a Toku (which he really is, just in manga/anime form) then he takes the cake easily. Even if we're only talking the 2nd live action movie he's gotta be top 3.

I realised that in my last post I totally forgot about the other really violent rider - Shin. The guy's finishing move is to gouge his opponents eyes, and then use his arm spines to slice their neck so he can grab their head and pull their spinal chord out. He's got to be a contender, despite being a one-shot.

If by tokusatsu you mainly mean the big three, then yeah, Shin wins hands-down. There's nothing in any other major henshin hero franchise I've ever seen that compares to Shin just stone cold ripping a guy's head off.

If you go outside the big three, then I do think Hakaider probably takes the crown. He's not as gory a hero as Shin, but on the other hand, the movie's plot is basically about him single-handedly razing a city and its entire culture to the ground, leaving nothing behind.

Shin may pull a guy's head off, but as I recall, that's the only guy he fights in the entire movie.

Plus the dude was a robot with green "blood," which to me...isn't quite the same as if he had, you know, pulled off a human character's head. (Like that doctor's, for example. Even though he still brutally murdered that dude, it wasn't quite a Mortal Kombat Fatality.)

I think you could say Decade is pretty violent. He destroys Riders and their franchise, so...:rimshot:
