What do you guys think about the TV title returning?.

Personally I think it's one of the few smart moves TNA has made lately. It makes more sense than the Legends title, which puts it on par with the million dollar title, or the Global title, which made it a very low tier world title.

It actually holds more prestige because having the TV title means you wrestle on every wrestling show within the company.

So, whoever holds it will wrestle on Impact, PPVs, Xplosion, anywhere.

And that is bad booking on TNA part, especially in AJ's case. The man was the face of the company for years. He was voted Mr. TNA by the fan 3 three years in a row. Hell, the PPV main event before they went national on Spike TV was an X-Division title defense featuring AJ, Joe and Daniels, a clear message to show why TNA was going to be different than WWE. Now Daniels has left, I got no idea what's going on with Joe and for some reason nobody in TNA believes AJ can get over with a crowd unless he's Mini-Flair.

That's because AJ had zero personality. He had no presence at all. He has all the tools and credits to be the top face of the company but his lack of charisma, and entertainment value is what hurts him.

AJ is never a good enough face. So, the best way to get him over is as a heel and that did not work until Flair came in.

I totally understand your point but AJ is going to be the guy until he finds a personality like a Chris Jericho and not some generic wrestler like Evan Borune.

So your saying TNA gave 2-3 NWA world title reigns and TNA world title reign, and the fans voted for 3 years in a row as MR. TNA, all to a guy with "zero personality"? Wow the fans and TNA Bookers must really must be stupid.

TNA obviously had faith in AJ getting over with the crowd before. You don't make the guy the top dog in your company that many times if you don't think the fans aren't going to connect. He's one of the few guys in TNA who doesn't disappear from TV for months at a time. Even if they did think he needed a bit more personality being Ric Flair Jr. is not going to help.

People like Styles for his skills, not for his gimmick. Unfortunately, now that TNA has become a popularity contest, he's being forced to take on a hand-me-down gimmick from some washed-up former star in order to get over because, clearly, his in-ring capabilities aren't what people want to see out of him. And they're certainly not what earned him all those titles, awards and honors...

His main achievements were when TNA was starting up and was like an Indy company and not a 2nd mainstream company. It was a time when wrestling was the only thing they had and nobody that could entertain. They gave him those titles and honors for his outstanding wrestling ability that surpasses anyone today. By far.

Problem is now, TNA is the 2nd largest wrestling company in the USA. His personality is what draws in casual viewers/TNA viewers. His wrestling ability is there and everyone knows it, now his personality is what is killing him.

And Flair did help him with promos actually. I found he got slightly better. Personally, I think he should ditch Flair after BFG and TNA should have Flair mentor Kaz who is another great wrestler, good look but no charisma type of guy who is cut out to main event.

So let me understand this.... TNA has taken the title from RVD and now put it in a tournament and the winner will be crowned in OCTOBER?... They pulled that **** off a few years back aswell. Not having a World Champion until October is just stupid. Abyss or Stinger should have came in to nab the title from RVD.

TNA seriously needs to remove Bishoff, Russo, Hogan, and everyone else from the company and bring in Dreamer & Heyman as the top writers.

They want to have ratings and be #1 but they spew this kind of **** at the fans... It doesn't make sense to me.

Aside from Homicide, Betsy Ruth was released from TNA as well.

Come on down, Cooki!

She made 1 appearance and already gone. Team 3D must be proud.

They need a new version of the belt though, everytime I see the red title I see it as a peice of trash that has been renamed over and over and over again.

AJ's personality and promos have improved ALOT since joining with Flair. A little bit more and combine that with his ability and he could very well be the greatest.

Awesome. I hope whenever RVD comes back, the'll let him hold it once again. He was one of the best wrestlers to own it, back in the original ECW days.

Damn right. He was the last good TV Champion.

You may have to wait awhile for heyman to show up. I got to find the article but according to him TNA is ready for his help yet. He as certain condition, ther main being he wants control of everything except financials. He also goes to say that the "established" stars wouldn't be around for long under his watch. Granted he might keep a couple like Angle for some star power, but somebody like say Nash and Hogan, probably be shown the door.

EDIT: Found it http://www.pwinsider.com/article/50020/paul-heyman-on-tna-they-arent-ready-for-my-help.html?p=1
