Anyway, FF7 was great but the amount of milking coming from it is getting out of hand. Basically because Square seems to have forgotten what actually occurred in FF7.
AC is a mess, Cloud is emo for no reason, supposedly from Aerith's death but he did come to terms with it in FF7, realizing while her death was a painful loss, it paved the way to stop Sephiroth. Sephiroth returning is junk, I would've preferred Jenova returning and actually getting into her/its mind. Hell, using Jenova as the main antagonist would be perfect for a sequel, since her cells are still everywhere from Hojo's bs.
DoC, utter crap. Moving on.
CC is okay, I loved the inside look into Zack's life prior to the fateful end. I hated the Genesis crap. Wutai War, Seph's Downfall, and the Escape are my favorite parts to it. Also, Cloud was portrayed correctly in this installment, weak-willed for failing to keep his promise to Tifa, so a huge blow to his self-esteem.
Before Crisis, never played it but playing as the Turks sounds epic.
There is a right way and a wrong way to milk a franchise. Square is mostly on the latter now.
I look forward to and fear a remake of 7 though. The bright side is obvious, updated graphics and decent to good VA. The fear is the incorporation of all the retconned stuff and the eventual change from Badass, I'm pretending to be SOLDIER, Cloud/Dork, I figured out who I am Cloud to... Emo Cloud.
