When I watched this episode, I remembered the feeling I had when watching my first Precure series, Yes! Precure 5. As I watched the episodes, I read summaries from wikipedia and thought, "Meh, some of those episodes don't look interesting."

When I watched them, though, I was often surprised by how much I liked them and how good they executed the plot the wikipedia summaries referenced. I later moved onto the first series, because I'm weird and like to watch franchises in semi-chronological order. Though I didn't enjoy the first two seasons as much, I still like them.

Back on point, this episode and a couple of the previous Suite Precure episodes rang that same feeling. Also I agree with Blue Saint in that Ako seems important, since she gets some decent focus and she has the unique features that indicate an important character. Though I don't think she is Cure Beat - I believe it's Hibiki's blue-haired teammate we got a split-second view of would be Beat.

Why does everyone think Hibiki's teammate is going to be Cure Beat? Is it hair color? This season has already shown itself to radically change hair color for Cure forms. Hibiki has reddish brown which in no way screams pink, same for Kanade's light brown to blonde shift. If anything hair color is decided by the Fairy Tone used. My guess is Ako finds Dodory becomes "Cure Mask" until Cure Symphony shows up and gets her Fairy Tone, then allowing her to become Cure Beat. Also I think Dodory is meant for Cure Symphony which would be another reason Ako couldn't become Cure Beat.

Usually, you just gotta match the color schemes.

Dory = Cure Melody = Pink
Rery = Cure Rhythm = White/Cream
Lary/Tiry = Cure Beat = Light/Blue or Indigo
Dodory = Cure Symphony = Violet

Of course, they can completely flip the table under you and **** you over. lol

I based Lary and Tiry on Cure Beat on two accounts: the musical scale and a "rainbow."

Do ry = Pink/Red
Re ry = White (even if it's not in the rainbow...)
Me ry = Orange (we've seen it in action last episode)
Fa ry = Yellow
So ry = Green
La ry = Light/Blue (I call it Light Blue because the standard color in the Rainbow is Blue, but Lary looks a bit lighter)
Ti ry = Indigo (the color between Blue and Violet, though it looks a bit more Blue)
Do(do) ry = Violet

Overall not a bad episode, I am wondering what the ultimate plan with Siren is though. I get the impression that sooner or later she is going to turn against the Minor Kingdom, my question is if she is going end-up being the Beat and Symphony's mascot or if may end up being a Cure herself. Moving on to Kanade and Hibiki, have to give them credit they caught on rather fast this time. It helped that Hummy is horrible at hiding her identity. Oh Hummy...

I am looking forward to next week since not only is it a Kanade episode but she seemingly gets her wand. So far I am enjoying the balance of attention both girls are getting, it makes it feel like a partnership not hero/sidekick relationship.

Ya I didn't really want to rely on PC Wikia's level of ratings on series..... =_+ its only good for information. One of the pages even said Fresh was considered by most fans to be overatted...... like wth its one of my fav. series and if it weren't for Fresh I wouldn't even be into the whole PC saga at all :anime:
