Spring Kamen Rider Movie - Kurata Returns!

Extremely intrigued at the way the movie begins. Right at episode 98? Voice-acting questions pop up in my head. Fujioka and Sasaki aside, will the Great Leader be once again voiced by Tomokazu Seki? And if not, they better just use the audio straight from the final episode.
More and more it looks like another LGKR history-alter, and yet again they aim to recreate scenes from the final episode as they did in that movie.
Given how much of a mystery the Great Leader still turned out to be in that final episode, and how many questions we were still left with (that more or less got answered in the subsequent series), there's a lot of exciting stuff they could address and many stories they could expand.

Hoo boy, I better be cautious and stop raising my expectations, just in case.

Kamen Rider 3 is Kyouichiro Kuroi. After the defeat of Shocker's Leader, peace had returned, but then Kamen Rider 3 appeared. He was the strongest warrior created by Shocker to defeat Rider 1 and 2. However, his true motives are unknown. He won't forgive evil monsters, but fights against Kamen Rider Drive?

The scan also mentions that various warriors became evil Shocker Riders, although I don't think that's referencing the actual Shocker Riders, just Riders controlled by Shocker here. I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't go with Taki like originally intended for the tv show, but the chances of that were always low, and I guess they needed a completely new character in order to carry on this "is he evil or good?" thing.

Okay. I like Sango's design. I really do. Except, with his newly designed paddings and what not, he makes Rider 1 and 2 look like he recruited them from the circus to join in his crusade. And that's a really bad thing. I really wished they had updated Ichigo and Nigo's look ever since Decade, but of course, that was asking too much.

Now I just have to convince myself they're supposed to be from the same era, while clearly, Sango seems like something out of THE FIRST/NEXT line.

I don't know, I think it makes sense that Sango looks more advanced since I'm assuming he was created a while after 1 and 2.
But I totally agree, the contrast is a bit jarring.

They could have at least used an older toku veteran actor for Sangou. Now I wonder will this guy be a one-off movie Rider or are they casting a young actor to have him return in future movies?

The actor for Sango is 45 years old, so he's not really that young.
I think it's a good balance since again, I'm pretty sure Sango was made after the fact so he's not as old as 1 and 2, and at the same time not as young as the Heisei Riders.

That Triple Rider Kick :buttrock:.

So...the divergence from the original timeline is Sango popping up after Ichigo and Nigo defeated Great Leader in episode 98, then defeating the Double Riders which lets Shocker takeover the world without any resistance. At the risk of being redundant, basically Let's Go Kamen Rider redux :P.

Makes me wonder if Sango has time-travel abilities or if Shocker now has the ability to travel through time, which let them either send their newest developed Rider into the past or send someone back to wake up Sango in the past.

And it looks like the SCU are still together, and Shinnosuke is still Drive, just all under the employ of Shocker. I wonder if this means that most of the Heisei Riders have their general history intact, just with Shocker as the world government? The defeat of the Double Riders and Shocker winning would probably effect more of the history for the Showa Riders then it would Heisei :eyebrow:.

So it's up to Tachibana, Yuto, and Gou (somehow) to restore the timeline...which requires them freeing Blade .

So we're getting some type of big race between most of the Riders? Which is where the whole GP, Grand Prix, part of the title comes from? Sounds like it could be fun :).
