Ressha Sentai ToQger Ep 27 "A New Power"

KamenRiderUNDERGROUND

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! SUBARASHI!!!!
Right tries to use the Hyper Ressha to liberate the next Shadow Town, but his body cannot handle the strain. Elsewhere, new members of the Shadow Line appear.

Fantastic episode. I'm kind of sad not many people are very enthusiastic about ToQger, cause the discussion topics are pretty well dead.

But I really liked how Right realized how to use the Hyper Ressha after viewing the two kids drawing that image after being lost for who knows how long. Pretty dramatic moment and ToQger is great for these.

New Villain (didn't catch her name) was kind of just there... Hopefully she'll do more than be the Gireeru of ToQger.

Hyper ToQ1 was awesome. Excellent fight between Zed and ToQ1. If that's any indicator of what's to come... There will be an awesome one-on-one final fight between them.

Wish Hyper wasn't exclusive to ToQ1 though...

And cool to see Zaram actually fight this time around.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of discussion in the topics. Everything that's not Kamen Rider has been rather overlooked for quite a while now. It'll be interesting to see whether or not people get back into other shows once Drive begins.

I felt a little sorry for those child actors having to freeze with their hands in the air for so long. You could see the trembles of a tired arm. Not a bad way to explain the new powerup, but I'm not keen on how it looks. It's just a big block of gold, more ridiculously oversized shoulderpads, and a black band that covers most of the rest of the torso (and I suspect is not there for any visual reason but for the more practical one of giving the actor more cushioning for when that big torso piece rattles against their chest every time they move).

But yeah, it was a fairly interesting episode. It almost seemed a bit tame compared to last year where Daigo felt the need to go shirtless to welcome the new powerup. But it feels like it's keeping the momentum going and that's the important thing.

I dunno, I felt a bit underwhelmed by the build up. The fight was excellent but the new power just didn't have that big of an impact when it was revealed. Bishop also really didn't impress me compared to Rook. He didn't feel quite as powerful and he didn't have any special ability once he got to be a giant. Kinda meh as an overseer.

It was still a fine episode but didn't feel like it introduced a power up. At all.

New gun is a bit daft with that super slow set up.

It is with just one train attached. It's clearly meant to have the others' trains attached to all those sidings to use as a team cannon. You can see them using it in this way in the next episode preview.

Even if it's more impressive it's still gonna take give cranking of that handle to get it to work.

Interesting to see that Train Corner finally returned.

I wonder why did it stop appearing for a while? We now know it wasn't due to them running out of train to show, so that is definitely not the reason.......

Also, I guess it's because of the tense situation, but nobody mentioned how the Hyper Ressha let Right stays transformed for more than a few seconds

Just google 'toqger 27'. 1 of the link has a youtube link. Click it and go to youtube, usually it has the real episode on the description which in turn will direct you to dailymotion that has the real episode.

Though i dunno about the episode itself. Still the same boring show. Even the fight and introduction of the 'Hyper' is still boring. Right is just literally running at the enemy head-on with the train block on his body.
