Power Rangers: Shinkenger 2011 (News Thread)

Huh, one of the latest posts in there is someone who claims they were one of the RPM Rangers, and that they're relocating to LA. I wonder which one? If it's true, of course.

Perhaps that person meant they auditioned to be one of the Rangers? That is more believable than being cast as one of them.

I'm thinking about joining the forum to ask some questions.

For those who have seen Shinkenger, are you excited to see how they handle the Resse/Juzo rivalry? I think that was one of Shinkengers strongest plots, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle it.

If it's anything like the way they handled the Andors/Ecliptor rivalry...I'll officially die a happy fan! LOL.

Lol should be a good solid rivalry, I like to see how they work with it.

I can't comment on that, because for all I know, he may have some local actors in NZ in mind already. But I can say this: I just got a callback and will be going back in for the Blue Ranger role on Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Just got back from my callback. This time, they had a producer there. We read lines and then went into a martial arts performance. From what I could hear from outside, a bunch of guys were trying to do stuff that was beyond their ability and damn near killing themselves before I went in, which in turn makes me look better. Overall, my audition went very well. But one guy who I know for a fact that is going to get far in these auditions is a friend of mine named Craig Hennigsen. It kind of sucks for a bunch of us having to go in after him, but if you want to know what he's capable of, just youtube him.

Oh yeah, and random note: Byron Scott's daughter auditioned as well.

lol captain clean craig hennigsen. funny you mention him, i just saw him at bluegrass a week or so ago. his old team promotes that tourny. also funny is supposedly mike chat...craigs teacher is hooking my friend up wit an audition....getting him straight into second round of auditions. dunno how true that is.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Mike Chat knows the casting director and all of the Saban production from his time on Lightspeed Rescue and now he's one of the more well known and connected martial arts teachers out in LA. They'd probably be more than happy to take his word on anyone who has his stamp of approval. Who's your friend?

Oh yeah, I really hope they use the footage. If not, I hope they at least translate the fight scenes well, and use a lot of on-ground fighting.

Oh man! That guy has some serious skill. I Youtubed a few other vidoes of him...and...dang! He has the fighting ability, I only hope he can act. But if they say he's good, I hope he gets it.
