What happened to most of the cast?? I mean the actress that played yuuri was one of my favorite heroines of all time and Domon was really funny too.

I've noticed with other sentai actors and power rangers actors that they arn't very successful after their shows finish (apart from Amy Jo, Austin st john and JDF). Does anyone know why this is???

Mostly because acting in both Sentai and Power Rangers is not the strong point of either show. They're lower budget shows, so they can't go out and recruit big name actors. Instead, they usually hire beginning actors who are unlikely to make a career out of acting. This doesn't mean that all the actors and actresses hired by either series are bad, there just a few steps below what would be called A-list actors. Also, Power Rangers' market value has went down since the days of MMPR, so it's much harder to break through on Power Rangers. Sentai has had slightly more luck, with actors such as Nagai Masaru, Shun Shioya, Tori Matsuzaka, and Ayumi Kinoshita to an extent. The bigger named toku actors have either come from the Kamen Rider series (like Joe Odagiri) or from Toku's that aren't talked about as much (like Yui Aragaki from Shibuya 15 and Keiko Kitagawa from PGSM).

I think Japan has more opportunities, with shows that recruit good looking actors in dramas like Hana-Kimi or any general school drama.

I don't think Nagai dislikes his role in TimeRanger, even though someone told me he never did any commentary on the TimeRanger DVD's or something. Either way, Tamayama Tetsuji, Kaneko Noboru and Kyo Nobuo are some other big name actors that made it big after Sentai. Chiba Yudai is also doing quite well too!

I do think Kamen Rider does carry a bit more weight as opposed to Sentai with a lot of actors gaining popularity after their stints in toku. Basically every show from Kuuga onward has some actor or actress that has made a solid, if not amazing career (Maybe not Faiz or Blade), but most shows have had some good actors come out of it.

All six Timeranger heroes still act. I always got the feeling they were trying to push Mika Katsumura (Yuuri) to be the next big thing, and it didn't quite work, but she's trying to get back into the game after taking some time off to have a kid. Shion and Domon's actors have remained toku-friendly, Shion appearing as a semi-regular in the new GARO, and Domon just finishing Kanon (and appearing in Gokaiger next month).

So, the other five are still acting -- they didn't fade into obscurity or "fail" -- it's just that Nagai is popular within the mainstream. (And look what he had to do to get that popularity -- turn his back on the thing that got him noticed!)

He was in GARO Red Requiem. It's like he does every project he's offered, so he should have been in Gokaiger.

OK apart from the actors which played tatsuya or sion how come the other actors and the actress played yuuri imdb and wikipedia history profiles are practically empty???

Because the IMDB and Wikipedia's a joke -- the English Wikipedia especially when it comes to info on Japanese stuff. (The IMDB is STILL listing that Mika and Masaru played Young Diana and Young Spielban in Spielban -- :rofl

Tatsuya and Shion have appeared in more mainstream, trendier television dramas that English-speaking fans are more aware of, so that's probably why their English profiles are more detailed.
