Kamen Rider OOO - Talk Up!

I would rather have more stunt bike actions instead of more CGI thank you.
W was able to manage both quite well. He even had more stunt bike action than CGI.

Of course, it wasn't until Quetzalcoatlus that the CGI got actually decent but you know what I mean.

How dare you... Ryuki was her best show.

Gingaman would like to have a very violent word with you.

Her best work was Gingaman, Timeranger and Ryuki. Happy now?

He was a waste of the only good suit in Ryuki. D: Or at least that's what I think. As shallow as it sounds, the fact that I didn't like the suits also did a lot to hamper my enjoyment of the show. Tiger was the only suit I actually liked, the others were tolerable to crap.

The Ryuki suits are still better than the poorly designed (and not even logical!) Den-O form suits. And certainly better than Decade and Diend.

As for Toujo the character.... he lost his appeal after his sudden change of heart. "I want to kill Yui" to "I want to save Yui" in all of one episode? And he kills Kagawa? The setup was going toward him killing Kagawa for being "weak-willed" (paying more attention to his family than the job). And afterward he doesn't even kill Sano, Asakura jumps out of nowhere and does the job.

Ryuki's last 10 episodes are where things turn sour. Toujo and Sano contributed to that.

Agito, Flashman (well he better), Metalder, I think he likes Changerion or Guyferd or one of those weird shows that came out in the 90s.

People just seem to not really know about the shows he likes too much. :O

I think I can relate >>

I'm not sure it's fair to characterize an older fan's apathy toward new stuff that way. I think once you are a fan of a certain vintage, you are no longer excited about new things simply because they are this year's model.

I love the mecha shows the way Shougo loves tokusatsu but I don't watch most new series in their entirety as they come out. I feel like most of what's been produced this decade was not very good for various reasons.

While a lot of my all-time favorites happen to be old, I don't like them because they're old. I like them because they were the cream of the various mecha show crops they came from. When a newer show like Gurren-Lagann is the cream of its crop, I tend to like that, too.

Now why is that so hard for people to get?

I used to get excited over each new Rider show, but that stopped about two years ago. I don't keep up with new info and rumors half as much as I used to, since I either don't see much to get into, or I know it's going to crash and burn eventually :P

I'll definitely have to disagree with that one. Den-O at least had Rod form and Zeronos's forms that I thought looked very nice and there's a rather interesting design aspect in that you can rearrange the chest armor and basically get all of the forms from it. Most of the Ryuki suits never had anything going for them.

Eh, yeah, the show didn't make much sense at that point. Like I said, it seemed as if it wanted to go for the ambiguous angle but just ends up coming off as stupid and nonsensical. I still think Tojo's "I love you, that's why I have to kill you" line was one of the more absurd things I've heard.

I was only talking about Den-O the Rider, not Zeronos. Zeronos's forms I did like more or less. But the Sword-Rod-Axe-Gun fold-in-and-out format made no sense in the context of the story. You'd have to have known that Ryo would bond with Momo, Ura, Kint and Ryu in that order to make that belt. And why would new train cars come along simply because a Taro joined the crew? Why does the engine resemble Sword Form's visor at all? And I don't by the "came from the future" explanation because there really was nothing in the show that corroborated that. Den-O is just an example of what happens when the toys spend more time on gimmicks and don't go along with the story's logic.

Plus aesthetically it's just ugly. Sword Form's front as Rod Form's and Axe Form's back? Axe Form's front as Sword Form's and Gun Form's back? Terrible!

"You're uncommitted/weak, that's why I have to kill you" would have made more sense and went along with the initial setup. Then we could really have had Toujou playing the role of "would-be hero in his mind".
