Personally, I thought they were overdoing it.

I don't really see how. You see people WORSE than that in real life. At least he was willing to go outside, even if he didn't much interact with others. The mask was his way of hiding his face so people wouldn't *want* to talk to him, and then he wouldn't have to talk back. It makes sense.

I wanted Megumi to kill her.

& This whole Wataru back in time thing is lame too. Been better for a no future interference to see what they would all have normally done.

There was no point to have the mask because it was forgotten after the first episode. (Heck, the middle of the first episode). There wasn't even anything to imply that he had always worn it before hand. (Another reason to doubt Climax Deka's being in show continuity). They could have easily portrayed Wataru's reclusiveness without the mask and goggles.

My Kiva 44 Picspam Review.

LOVED the episode. Kiva really knows how to pack a lot of epic moments into a small number of episodes. At least every few weeks, something really awesome happens, and the finale of 44 is no exception.
