Wow, if cars is a **** motif I wonder when they start doing things like fruits or rockets and meteors.

Rockets and meteors are fun and interesting. Fruits are delish and good for you.

Cars are boring ****, and completely unneeded when the franchise is about superheroes on motorcycles.

Man, this would be the fouth time that Heisei Kamen Rider's would use a car vehicle. Back in RX he was the only Showa Rider to use a car, although he still uses a bike as his first use of transportation. The first one during the Heisei era would be Hibiki, although it would be more for civilian transportation but still well known, the second use would be Den-O during the Chou Den-O movie episode yellow of G Den-O's helmet piece changed from a police car, and for W/Double, it would be the Revolvgarry transport which carries the changeable back parts for his bike.

I wouldn't count G Den-O, that's just his helmet/theme. He's never actually seen with a car.
Heck we never see him with any kind of vehicle, not even his own time-traveling train.

You should have mentioned Skull's Skullgarry instead.

There's alot more to be revealed about Drive, so we have no concrete evidence saying there will be no motorcycle. You have to understand the position Kamen Rider is in currently. Bandai comes up with the toy gimmicks and designs, while still trying to uphold Kamen Rider structure and tradition, hence all of the allusions to Black RX, then gives it to the Toei showrunners to make a show using said toy gimmicks and designs. So if Bandai thinks cars will sell, that's what Kamen Rider's doing.

And the vast majority of the fandom was the same way about Gaim last year with the fruit theme. "It's going to ruin Kamen Rider" "silly dumb motif" etc. And now the fandom can't stop talking about it. So we can't write off a show just because of the motif and honestly I'm excited to see how Toei handles having a car as the main vehicle and some fans speculate one of his upgrade forms will be motorcycle or a different Rider is motorcycle themed. I personally don't think Toei would just say "**** it, no more bikes" when it's apart of name. But to be honest, Kamen Rider is a franchise of innovation, every new series adds something new to the table, trying new ideas and concepts. And who knows, Drive may be one of the best shows.

I've been refreshing twitter, tumblr, etc. like crazy hoping for some news and luckily we at least got the rest of the catalogue!

it seems that Bandai has finally got wise to the fact that these catalogs get leaked every year, hence the silhouettes

also of note, both of Drive's weapons have kanji in their name, so they're technically the "Handle Ken" and the "Door Juu"

Yeah, but you can't expect everybody to say "Handle Ken" and "Door Juu". I'm happy with saying "Handle Sword" and "Door Gun".

Well, on the plus side, you do know how to be needlessly patronising

The scans give me the impression of just one Rider with several forms, unless an early rumour holds that there would be multiple different users of the same suit with different colours/decals. But you're quite right, I shall wait for the official reveal (and continue to count myself luckier than the people who every year expect a show with only one Rider in it ever, a la Kuuga)

Well I'm sorry. It's just that it's not too late for there to be multiple Riders. Just because Gaim decided to confirm them REALLY early doesn't mean that there isn't a possibility for Drive. Wizard had a fair amount of Riders(albeit half were recolors) without hinting a thing at the press conference.

Idk, vast majority of fans call all of the Gaim stuff by the original japanese names, even though it would be much easier saying the english names lol :sweat:

Can't wait for the official reveal probably next Thursday. It is closer to the TV Kun magazine day anyway.
