Dragonball Evolution Wasnt THAT Bad

Its a "meh" movie. Its not very good, but its not TERRIBLE.

This is what I mean. I'd much rather watch the TERRIBLE movie and stare at in uncomprehending wonder than spend time on a film that elicits no more from me than a "meh."

The idea of "damning with faint praise" is that, for a creator, the worst possible type of work to produce is mediocrity. If you're Ed Wood, at least people won't forget about you entirely.

like I said earliar it would of worked if it wasnt dragonball, however I forgave it due to this woman

hell id watch a cheap immation of the smurfs if it had her in looking like that .

that however is true bad movies are bad, but that is also quite pesimistic, in everything bad ya gotta look for something good .... in Dragonball Evolutions case I belive it was her after all needed something to make time seem worthwile

The only thing worthy of being mentioned and considered postive was that scene where Goku eats his chicken. I'll let that speak for itself. Everything else didn't make any sense. It was a bad movie through an through, regardless of what its based on.

...it was a bad idea from the start anyways so. You know I came in thinking that it'd be somewhat better then that asian live-action DB movie. I try to be optimistic about these things & boy was a wrong...

I remember how EVERYONE wanted a live action Dragonball Movie, I always told everyone there was no way you can make a dragon ball movie in live action, the show is too fantastic yet serious, it can't be done in live action without it being terrible.

After many years the movie actually starts being made and as soon as people see pictures they all bash it how its awful because its not like the anime. The same opinion kept going when more pictures and trailers were released since it was nothing like the anime. THIS is when I noticed the movie looked pretty good, it was nothing like the anime and the changes made it work in live action, I was actually looking forward to the movie.

The movie comes out and is bashed by EVERYONE, funny thing is that out of of the people who bashed the movie after it came out only an extremely small portion of them saw it. So yeah....their opinion was worthless to me.

I finally saw the movie when it came out on DVD expecting to like it and sadly I was disappointed....the movie is boring and mediocre. With that said, all the "haters" are still wrong, all the changes they made to make DB work in live action worked really well, thats not whats wrong with the movie, what is wrong is that its just not an interesting movie but its not bad for the reasons the DB fans say it is. Also the movie is not terrible how people make it out to be, its just medicore. And no matter what anyone says a more faithful adaptation of DB would have been FAR WORSE.

Faithful adaptation of Dragon Ball can not work in live action in any way, it'd just be way too cheesy looking. When watching animation your suspension of disbelief is more flexible and allows you to take it more seriously something that would not happen in live action were expectations are different.

We also expect the same from live-action. This is Dragonball, people will embrace the cheese if need be. That kind of thought is like saying they can't adapt Shinkenger or a comedic series like Go-onger. ANY adaption of about any work can be done right with the right people.
