it was horrible as a dragonball film...but if it would have been a movie about...any other kind besides dragonball then the movie would not have been horrible.

I'm not saying it should win any awards, it just doesnt deserve all this "OMG! THIS MOVIE IS SO BAD I THREW UP EVERYWHERE LOLOLOLOLOLOL" **** people give it.
Its a "meh" movie. Its not very good, but its not TERRIBLE.
Its not a movie I'd watch again, but I'm not hating myself for seeing it.

But it IS a terrible movie and that "if it wasn't called Dragon Ball, it would have been decent" shtick ain't working. Even if it was title "Generic action film 101" it still sucked.
When I watched it, I wanted to laugh about how bad it was (like Showgirls and Transformers 2.) but it wasn't even that good at that. I mean, why must this movie fail even at it's campyness!?!?

Are you REALLY sure about that? 
I mean, even if we don't want to compare it to the Dragonball Series (which doesn't make any sense, but it IS an adaptation after all, we SHOULD question how they adapted it) it is still a horrible movie :laugh: Let's ask some question that a normal viewer should ask if they have NEVER heard or barely remember the Dragonball Series as a child?
1. How did Piccolo escape? (They mentioned him breaking a seal, but that wasn't even on screen)
2. Why does this guy (Yamcha) love this girl (Bulma) when they've only had 2 scenes on screen?
3. How does this world exist, and what year is it? (Something we don't care about and fall into in the series, but apparently this movie wants to be real and not give Bulma a full head of blue hair, yet have the world be like a futuristic desert without any explanation :sly
4. Why did Goku bring Master Roshi back to life first? (He JUST met him, he could have brought his Grandfather back...)

Probably does more since it's also carrying a highly-known name behind it. Hence why FF: The Spirits Within is thought of as horrible to its name (though I liked it).
Saying it's "meh" is just your opinion overall. G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra and Rambo I consider meh for me, DB: Evolution I didn't really find enjoyable on its own, and apparently so did many others.
Considering you also liked Revenge Of The Fallen, you seem forgiving of these films compared to others. What movies did rate as **** to you?
