Dragonball Evolution - Talkback

I prefere a reboot.

You'll see that happening in another 6 years  Maybe this time Fox won't have their hands on it and maybe it'll be something close to the source. Or hell maybe something thats actually good in the normal way (not the so bad its hilarious way).

James Marsters Confirms Sequel?

According to James Marsters, a sequel to Dragonball: Evolution isn’t just speculation, but reality. From Civilized James:
"In Spring and Summer, I’m on tour in Europe. Check for dates and ticket on www.jamesmarsters.com. And then we’ll start shooting the second Dragonball movie. (:169:) I’ve just heard that I can actually tell that there is going to be a sequel."

Of course, things can always change in Hollywood, so don’t take this as the final word. Let’s just hope that if true, they treat the sequel with a lot more respect.

Movies typically have to earn double their production budget just to break even. DB:E didn't come close to doing that, so I'll be surprised if this turns out to be true.

Just saw the movie. Loved it.

I didn't read this MSNBC review until I got home from seeing it, and it is very spot-on.

It's a total popcorn movie, and that's all I really expect from anything Dragonball related.

The only real complaint I had with the movie was [HIDE]We're never told or shown just how Piccolo escapes. Nor do we hear the name of his sole underling onscreen, or find out exactly where and how he got that swanky flying fortress. Though I suppose it could have been his to start with, and he stashed it when he came to Earth originally[/HIDE]

The fights were amazing, and James Marsters is a great villain. I just wish he had a little more screen time.

See, that was my problem. Whoever they got to write this sucker just had no clue what he was doing. they wrote a very straight forward plot with no surprises and no explanation or proper set up.

I really want a sequel so I hope that James is correct and not just BSin. No, it won't be any better than the first movie. But god dammit, maybe we will get a Super Saiyan and Vegeta.

It wasn't bad but It would work better if it had nothing to do with Dragonball at all and something completely different.

This movie could have been a lot better, but I was really satisfied with the way it was. I'll end up getting the DVD. XD
