Kinda weird how Psychemon and Ossumon are kinda old digimon, especially Psychemon. Xross Wars has made a lot of new one and even remade some.

Title get your attention? Seeing as this is essentially a new cast and even if the episode count doesn't roll over, it's essentially series seven, just taking an approach akin to the new Beyblade shows, sooo I'd say it's worth its own thread. Plus, it helps us to not muck up the other thread with possible spoilers.

Following the finale of Digimon Xros Wars (Episode 54) comes the next chapter in the franchise . . . Digimon Xros Wars! This is basically Xros Wars' 02 and so far seems that Taiki and Yuu will be the only returning human characters. The new characters from right to left are Ren Tobari with Dracmon, Tagiru Akashi with Gamudramon, Airu Suzaki with an unknown Digimon, and Ryouma Saijou with Psychemon.

The series begins October 2nd, Riku Sanjou will stay on as head script writer.Key points for the series -
- It will focus on something known as "the gap between the Digital and Human Worlds"
- Taigiru will be the key to gap and may be someone who comes from neither of the worlds we've already seen
- Ryouma and Isle are the mysterious pair for the series who may or may not be enemies
-Taiki will still be the main character, but the others, especially Taigiru, will get a lot of focus

Duh, look at his hair. In every past season of Digimon, I've NEVER seen someone with weirdly colored hair. But he's got a "Reborn flame" going on. That TOTALLY says "other worldly".

I figured that was going to happen with him and Yuu. I just thought it was going to be for like the last fight with Baguramon. Instead we get 50 MORE EPISODES OF DAMEMON!!!!


How is Shoutmon older? Xross Wars is so weird. Or is it called CrossxCross now.

If they keep Damemon, they better keep Tsuwamon, or I'm gonna flip a ****.

Dracmon is also an old Digimon. Came around the X-Antibody era, a bit before Season 5/Savers. Opossumon is Tailmon's Armor Evolution, and Psychemon is a MAD old Digimon. Totally Digimon World status right there.

It's cool to see Digimon who never had any other appearance aside from video games and were mainly card exclusive finally get speaking and animated roles (or characterized roles, i.e. anime and manga roles).

And I think Mantaraymon from the Ocean Zone arc was also an Armored Digimon (probably Honesty/Reliability (dub)). Xros Wars is REALLY going all out with past Digimon that never had appearances.

Until Xros Wars, 02 was my least favorite Digimon series. So the premise of a 02 for Xros Wars is not something I receive with open arms.

Still, I was able to find one good thing in that poster so that gives me hope.

I think the Mantaraymon appear in the first Tamers movie.

When I saw this image, my heart jumped in excitement and I had to resist the urge to do a keyboard smash.

Shoutmon grew up to a be a scarred leathermon. And yes, that subtext was intentional.

I could see how V-mon can be seen in the Gamudramon. There is an excited Keet-ish expression about him. Tagiru's look and goggles some reason reminds me of some character in an anime/video game I can't remember the name of.

Are the shadowed Digimon antagonists? If so, I thought of an bad Opossumon first!

If that blond person in back the only girl? I wouldn't be surprised.
