Rahan!
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWK_CGfYxzk"]Rahan introduction song - YouTube[/ame]
At the dawn of mankind Rahan lost his people in a volcanic eruption, he now travels the world, looking for the place where the sun sleeps. In a world of fear and superstition Rahan is always looking for answers, never being satisfied with first impression or rumors or dogma, and is always willing to help others and share the knowledge he gains.

I'm cheating a bit here since, even though there was an English version it's not forgotten in its native France where it was based on a popular comic book.

And now for something American so I don't loose the gang here:
The Popples!

Another toyetic cartoon with cute critters from the 80s. The Popples, who would only appear to the main kids, had the amazing ability to 'pop' random things out of their back pouch to solve all problems...problems they themselves usually caused in the first place.

I don't have low self esteem.

Oh man I wish I could help you out ^^ it's a real shame when you can't remember a show or anything.

But later..

Oh dude!! You just saved my life!!

"New Day!! It's a brand new start!!"

So that's how it went!!

So the show was called "Owl TV". I had no idea it was a Canadian kids show. I always thought it British or Australian.

Hmm, seems like an educational kids show.

Thanks man!! Really diggin this song!!! :buttrock:

The Ruby-Spears Superman cartoon series. Before we had STAS this was about the best damn Superman cartoon there was except for the classic Fleisher shorts. The series used elements from both movies and the Byrne's Post Crisis reboot. Plus it featured design work by comics legend Gil Kane. Unfortunately the thing had a really shitty time-slot so I feel like only me and five other people ever saw it.

The "Once Upon A Time" series were educational fren-canadian series (which I thought were animes at the time), one dealt with the evolution of man, one dealt with the anatomy of the human body, and the final series took the form of a space opera that educated you on the stars and planets.

I remember the one episode they were trapped on Jupiter or something...some hot planet, and the male and female leads started undressing to cope with the heat, my first exposure to unintentional fanservice

Also, Gerry Anderson's Terrahawks, which ran for three seasons in the UK and was a parody of alien invasion series played straight, it had humour that could go over kids heads at times and even had one episode pulled from repeat transmissions because of it's risky content (involving a pregnancy, going into labour, and the use of a crowbar) , it's cheif villain Zelda had a laugh that gave kids nightmares

I think there where two versions of Owl TV. One that aired in Canada and one that aired in the UK. I remember Michaela Strachan being the presenter of the UK version.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfqVTcBZnh0"]OWL TV UK - YouTube[/ame]
