Hey guys!! Your old pal Black Ranger RX here!!

When we all go nostalgic and think of these good old 1980's Kids shows that we used to watch, the most common ones seem to be Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He Man, Dangermous, etc..

But, has there been any 1980's kids shows that YOU used to watch as a kid, that you believe most people have forgotten about? a show that may never get a re-air ever again or has lost it's fame or anything like that?

When I was a kid, I used to LOVE watching this show

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgnSc8XcTTA&list=FL9Qx1XzYIXRg&index=1"]Telebugs 32 - Lifo To The Rescue - YouTube[/ame]

This is a British cartoon called "Telebugs". It used to be aired on CITV in the mid 1980's, and has very vague or minor similarities to Super Sentai and Power Rangers, but I don't think Telebugs had any inspiration to Super Sentai at the time.

The Characters are called Chip (White) Samantha (Yellow) and Bug (Red), and they were basically robots with television screens for faces. created by Dr Brainstrain, and they were meant to fight many villians including BullyBite and many others.

Even in the UK Telebugs is well forgotten about. There is a small fanbase for Telebugs though, and a few fansites about Telebugs. But I doubt we'll ever see the Telebugs get stuff like DVD Boxsets though. Or even a live action CGI movie (that would be great though).

The song in the end credits is called "I Have a Heart", sung by Mort Shuman. The song seems to be very rare on the internet. I tried searching for "I Have a Heart by Mort Shuman" on YouTube and Google for a full version of the song and.. nope!! Whether there exists a full version or the song was intended to be so short I dunno.

While we're on the topic of forgotten 80's Kid's Shows, there's another 1980's kids show I'm trying to find..

The problem is, I don't know the name of this show, nor do I know what it's about, and I'm not sure if it's a British kids show or an Australian kids show, but the theme tune's been stuck in my head for so long now and I wanna hear it again after all these years but I can't seem to find it on the internet.

The song has a cheerful and happy feel to it like a 1980's pop song. I don't know the lyrics to the song but from what I vaguely remember the begging of the song sounds similar to this..

"The UK, has a brave new star!!"

or

"Hoooray!! It's a brave new star!!"

or

"Woooo Hey!!! It's a brave new star!!"

Not sure which one's right.

So er... yeah if anybody could like fill me in on this one. Like what is the name of this 80's kid's show, or if anybody has any video clips of the opening intro, then that would be great. If not, don't worry about it.

The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!-quick little rant about this show.It seems in animated form the Marvel family are the most inept bunch of superheroes around.Every other episode they got captured. If these guys(and girl)were in the Justice League and this happened as much as it did on this show, how long do you think it would be until the other members of the JLA said "f*ck it" and chucked them into the dumpster behind the Hall of Justice?

Other shows for my list
BraveStarr
Rambo

Oh man I wish I could help you out ^^ it's a real shame when you can't remember a show or anything. When I was a kid there was a show with puppets airing on TV, I always thought it was something dubbed but as it turned out it was actually from Quebec. It as about this old scientist and his grand daughter living in a futuristic biodome place with a bunch of robots doing the work, and one day due to a freak accident the little girl meets Virulysse a virus who has grown to human size (as a fuzzy critter with a big mouth) and soon after that the robot in charge of security went rogue and tried to take over. The rest of the show was the humans trying to stop the evil robot with their outdated robot allies and Virulysse. The only thing I can find for that show (and it took me years to even get the title right) is a black and white picture of the line up of puppets used in the show and that's all! Nothing seems to have survived o.o

HOLY SMOKES! What the heck is that and why haven't I heard of that before?

Cybersix kicked butts! But that was the 90s not the 80s Kura :p

90s again.

Allright MY TURN :D

First up, Starship Saggitarius!
[ame="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xonqv_les-aventuriers-de-l-espace-debut_shortfilms"]Dailymotion - LES AVENTURIERS DE L'ESPACE_DEBUT - une vidéo Film & TV@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video@@AMEPARAM@@video[/ame]

Years before Fry was frozen for a thousand years the crew of the Saggitarius were being employed as space cargo delivery pilots by an abusive boss in a cheap company constantly struggling for money. They hit a good paycheck when scientist Giraffe hires them to go after his fiance, professor Ann, who ran off to a savage newly colonized planet after a lover's spat. The first season is the boys chasing after Ann with subsequent episodes dealing with the family life of the characters, and the struggles to maintain their own delivery company and keep their ship.

Now for some other obscure anime, this time I'm gonna go for the UK opening (though I watched that in French)
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbSIsDRiuTw"]Serendipity the Pink Dragon (or Dinosaur) opening - YouTube[/ame]
Follows the adventure of a boy who looses his parents in a shipwreck and drifts to a deserted island on a piece of iceberg that turn out to contain the ginormous egg of the title sea dragon. The island is a magical paradise filled with talking animals, talking plants, talking CLIFFS, strange creatures and ruled by a mermaid (that the french song say doesn't like humans). Beside hijinks on the island itself they also need to protect it from a mean old fisherman who wants to find the island and capture the princess.

I think it only aired as a movie in the UK.

Now for something Canadian!
This is...Blizzard Island!
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPUlOru5IIY"]Blizzard Island Episode One Part One - YouTube[/ame]

This show was shot in 1988 in Nova Scotia and created by friends Stoney Ripley and Terry Angus while Terry was on break from working with Jim Henson. Tracy and her brother Wayne find an old necklace belonging to their great grandmother that was said to have been given to her by a giant. Turns out it wasn't just a story as they discover the necklace can transport them to the strange magical world of Blizzard Island where the giant Argon lived. It turns out that Argon is asleep and if he doesn't wake up, the consequences would be disatrous for Blizzard Island...and our world. In 12 episodes the kids explore the strange Blizzard Island and paint a fascinating mythology until they actually accomplish their quest in the serie's finale! A finale was so rare when I was a kid I loved that show!

And now: Stop the Smoggies!

I only remember the opening and that's all.
