2013 Rider: Kamen Rider Gaim - News/Rumors thread

I enjoy Rider vs Rider battles. While it doesn't happen in most series, the fact that Gaim will not only have this kind of conflict but also present it in a feudal Japan-style mass battle hinted at in the prelude is very exciting, as well as the multiple factions and allegiances. It's something we don't see often in this franchise, and to me that is refreshing to watch.

Seeing how "Riderman" is his official name and not "Kamen Rider 4" he should technically count as a rider during his ark,

Someone who's seen more V3 than me can correct me on this but, wasn't he just called "Joji Yuki" during his arc? and, "Riderman" came later on?

As long as the Rider battles mean something other than "I don't like you" then all is fine. Hopefully Gen doesn't get too bogged down in being like Ryuki(Which I found boring anyway)

Seeing how "Riderman" is his official name and not "Kamen Rider 4" he should technically count as a rider during his ark, since the rule is that as long as you have at least "Rider" in your name, you count, hence why no one argues about whether or not SkyRider counts

To be fair, Skyrider's name isn't Skyrider. He called himself just "Kamen Rider" for the first 18 or so episodes of his show (which was technically called just "Kamen Rider" too, no subtitle or Skyrider anywhere). It's only when Stronger appears that other people (and the narrator) start calling him Skyrider.

Nah, he calls himself Riderman in the same episode where he wears the helmet and suit for the first time.

RAWR! HOW DARE SOMEONE HAVE A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW ON WHAT A 40 YEAR OLD FRANCHISE STANDS FOR! THERE IS ONLY ONE CORRECT WAY OF VIEWING KAMEN RIDER AND IT IS CLEARLY THE ONE WE ARE ALL THINKING OF BECAUSE WE ALL THINK IN THE SAME WAY!!

^This schmuck right here ought to be kicked down a flight of stairs. Everyone's got a right to have their own opinion. If you can't respect that, then don't say anything at all.

So you point me out and not the ten other people un-sarcasticallly saying his opinion is wrong?

I get that you only check threads for my posts but you should really check to see the context I write them in.

Both of you need to cool it. No need for this anywhere in the forums.

I believe Urobuchi's view on Rider vs Rider is wrong, but with very valid reasons. Using the Shocker Rider battles as comparison shows how much he doesn't get it, but at the same time how much he has a point.
