So Ryuki is what Kamen Rider is to you? Nothing wrong with that, but I don't think that's really what Kamen Rider as a whole is about, and it looks like Urobuchi might not understand that either.

I don't think you understand either. Kamen Rider being little different from the monsters they fight has been a repeated motif in much of Showa and Heisei Rider. At least Urobuchi understands.

I think Terthna was getting at the whole "Rider vs. Rider" thing which, contrary to Mr. Urobuchi's opinion.. isn't something that's natural to the franchise.

Urobochi hints that the war scene is a foreshadowing of the 2nd half? Enjoy and make the most of your friendly Rider rivalries guys before it (potentially) gets serious.

Urobochi never said that... He said he made this one like that because he likes ryuki. Seems pretty clear. He just likes those parts of Kamen Rider. He has also indicated his enjoyment of the black/shadow moon, so it seems like he just likes those things. He seems like he has a very clear idea of what rider is and what it means, even pointing out the central theme which exists in pretty much every rider series, which is that the villain and the heroes power all traces back to the same origin.

Rider VS Rider is nothing new.

In V3, his own friend was turned into a monster and he had to kill him. I saw that as a Rider vs Rider, just like how Kabuto had to kill Scorpio Worm.

I liked Riderman vs V3, no matter how short that was, because like all kids, we just want to know who's more powerful, and in what ways.

Rider vs Rider is a big turn on for kids who are just looking for excitement when they get to see their favorites clash with all their best.

It's like watching Goku vs Vegeta.

Besides, Gen said it depends on the user on how they use the power, and I think the reason why they're calling it "Armored Rider Gaim", and then there's the "Beat Riders", they're really going out of their way to try and not call it Kamen Rider in the show. It's almost as if they're just waiting to build up to see which one of these "Riders" is truly worthy enough to be called a Kamen Rider IN the show.

Urobochi never said that...

The thing is I did kind of want every Rider to get along, but I decided not to. It’s because I love Kamen Rider Ryuki. Besides Riders fighting each other is natural.
I don't see how much clearer this can be; he seems to think that Riders trying to kill each other for oftentimes inane reasons is somehow natural to the franchise..

RAWR! HOW DARE SOMEONE HAVE A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW ON WHAT A 40 YEAR OLD FRANCHISE STANDS FOR! THERE IS ONLY ONE CORRECT WAY OF VIEWING KAMEN RIDER AND IT IS CLEARLY THE ONE WE ARE ALL THINKING OF BECAUSE WE ALL THINK IN THE SAME WAY!!

Iirc, Riderman wasn't an actual Rider during the majority of his arc so, I don't think it counts.

Seeing how "Riderman" is his official name and not "Kamen Rider 4" he should technically count as a rider during his ark, since the rule is that as long as you have at least "Rider" in your name, you count, hence why no one argues about whether or not SkyRider counts

I don't think W and Accel ever had a direct fight against each other. I think the same can be said of Wizard and Beast

OOO and Birth never fought until like 23 episodes after Birth's debuts.

It goes without saying that the Oni never fought each other. The closest it ever happened was with Shuki but I don't remember an outright fight happening.

I guess that one time Ryutaros tried to kill Yuto counts for Den-O :redface2:.

Nice to see the Kuuga reference confirmed .

I really liked, and appreciated Urobuchi's answer to the last question.
