Looks like a bitter sweet ending would be in store for us... or a down right crappy ending. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad for a change I guess, but in recent years I have preferred a more happier ending to shows, cause we hardly ever get that in reality, but in fiction why the frak not have it end well? At least that's my opinion. Though it does say that this guy has given more prominence to the idealistic side of things in some of his recent works, but I dunno. Not quite convince yet on this being a big deal, granted that he's a fan of Kamen Rider is quite interesting and gives a glimmer of hope in some ways, it's just not pushing that hope far enough for me.

Calling it

Start with five riders

Two will die and one will give his belt to another person who becomes everyone's favorite character

The insanity of the fruits theme and break dancing is just to balance the dark parts of the series that will come.

See, his base form I don't hate. In fact, I love it! It really is nice seeing all these HQ images of Gaim now; the close-ups on his Lock Seed are appreciated as well.

Dat insignia on his sole tho. :castlerock:

-Helmet reminds me of Gekko Kamen
-Loving the samurai look.Wish it was pure kung fu/judo, but whatever.
-Fruit theme doesn't suck, but henshin device does and feels cheap.
-Wish this was/hopes it will be dynamic and like OOO/Gridman.
-Hope this is like how Maskman seems.

On the subject of the writer, this is quoted from the postface section of the light novel Fate/Zero Volume 1, penned by the man himself.

Urobuchi Gen wants to write stories that can warm people's hearts.

Those who knew about my creative history would probably furrow their brows and think this is a cold joke. Actually, I couldn't completely believe it, either. Because when I start typing out words on the keyboard, the stories my brain comes up with are always full of madness and despair.

In fact, I wasn't like this before. I've often written pieces that didn't have a perfect ending, but by the last chapter the protagonist would still possess a belief that 'Although there will be many hardships to come, I still have to hold on'.

But from I don't know when, I can no longer write works like this.

I am full of hatred towards men's so-called happiness, and had to push the characters I poured my heart out to create into the abyss of tragedy.

For all things in the world, if we just leave them alone and pay them no attention, they are bound to advance in a negative direction.

Just like no matter what we do we can't stop the universe from getting colder. It is only a world that is created through a compilation of 'progresses of common sense'; it can never escape the bondage of its physical laws.

Therefore, in order to write a perfect ending for a story you have to twist the laws of cause and effect, reverse black and white, and even possess a power to move in the opposite direction from the rule of the universe. Only a heavenly and chaste soul that can sing carols of praise towards humanity can save the story. To write a story with a perfect ending is a double challenge to the author's body and soul.

Urobuchi Gen had lost that power. It still hasn't recovered. The 'tragedy syndrome' is still continuing within me. Is this a terminal disease? Should I give up on the pure 'warrior of love' that I've longed for? Ascend a pallid battle steed and reincarnate into a dispenser of this virus... Could it be that I can only create pieces that give men courage and hope in my next life? (When I wrote this, I wrote 'courage' as 'lingering ghosts'. Could this be because of using 'ime' - Ah, I wrote 'ime' as 'hatred' -are there no chances of recovery for me?)

This snippet was written back in 2006. Some, myself included, would argue that he had mellowed since then and is able to write stuff without horribly butchering the cast either physically or emotionally. Too much. This, at least, showed that he himself doesn't want to always write stories with tragic outcomes.

Myself, I'm just hoping for another Digimon Tamers.

Yeah... This is the biggest turnoff for me, to be honest. The more I read about this guy, the more that I feel like not investing my time in the series.

You see this ****? YOU SEE THIS ****?! This is what the Neo-Heisei era has done to this fandom! There were times when we had to take the darkness and swallow it like sour medicine! If Ryuki's world got rewritten at the end we had to live with it! If Blade had to drive away leaving his friends behind we had to wave goodbye! If the Orphenoc King lived...that's a burden we have to live with for the rest of our lives...But now? Now! You damn sissies can't even watch Go-Busters without getting bummed out! You all make me sick. I hope Gaimu's fruits are sour! I hope there sour and you all choke on them!

He wrote Tamers? Yeah....that depressing ass chick with the dead Leomon does sound like him.

 :P

Well... funny enough, I'd write a bitter sweet ending to my own stuff, but when I watch a show I want a good ending. *shrugs* That's just what I prefer, and if you prefer the other, that's your choice.

Though really I don't want to watch the show, cause Fruit Breakdancing, Samurai... is in all honesty... The dumbest concept I have ever seen and heard of. Seriously what is Toei and Bandai smoking? :sly:
