Worst henshin device

In war, Japanese are honorable. Back way when, it was common courtesy to let your opponent attack first. That's why samurai battles seemed to take forever, because each warrior was waiting for the other to strike. One could also argue that the Rider's enemies are also dumb, and take awhile to figure out they have to attack, but...

Maybe during Samurai times, but not during WWII.

If you havent seen the series, don't say the Faiz Gear. He keeps it assembled later so it's much faster. In the beginning, they kept it in the case to keep the Gear intact.

From the Faiz Gear we get this epic henshin: Faiz vs Orga
and Accel/Axel form henshin
Faiz vs Psyga

Does he still have to put the belt first, THEN dial the number and insert the phone? Or does he wear the belt all the time/somehow makes it appear out of nowhere?

He puts on the belt right before he needs it, or he already has it on his body later. He gets faster at dialing, so it's not a hassle. Kiva takes longer. Look at the Accel henshin and the one with him fighting Orga. Those last two were epic.

I'm going solely on the actual props here since there aren't really any actual series henshin devices I don't like. The worst/least functional belt I own has to be the Leangle one - it does basically *nothing* and the paint job is horrific.

My favorite by far in terms of props is Kiva. With IXA coming a close second. There's something satisfying about having a belt bite you. Plus it's one of the only ones which detatches completely from the straps - so it's way easier to display without taking up a tonne of space (I'm looking at you Gattack belt >.<)

(Belts I own; Blade/Garren/Leangle, Kiva/IXA/Saga, Gattack, Den-O/Zeronos.)

Having seen video footage of the Decade driver I really, really hope we get it in Korea. I am willing to fork out for it (and the W belt/accel/OOOs belts.) when I hit Japan though.

I gotta say Accel from W. Everytime he went to say Hen........Shin it annoyed the hell outta me! Im like what the hell is the long pause all about. And his facial expression when he does it doesnt make it any better.

 He didn't really need to do any of that, when he saved Akiko from the Old Dopant he proved he could transform very quickly

Haha, imagine modern warfare were the people go like this

"Hey! let me shoot you first with my ak47 and then u can blow me up with ur m-16!":laugh:

I don't think Japan wants to remember WWII.

My grandmother was a survivor of ww2 ( she used to untill she passed away from old age). She was at china, a 12 year old girl, whn the japanese invaded. The japanese soldiers raped women, young or old, pregnant or not, and even create "sex-slave-houses" just for satisfying them, my gandmother's brother (my granduncle) was shot dead by japanese in cold blood. So i guess i can see why they are so eager to forget rather than admit their fault.

And you can now see why China and Japan relations are so thin. Its very obvious.

I'm not sure about "common courtesy to let your opponent attack first", but it was certainly dishonorable to attack a person not in armor. Of course, that didn't stop plenty of people from doing it anyway.

TBH, I don't really buy that this is some unique aspect of Japanese culture, though. I think it's just like "how come no one realizes Superman is Clark Kent." No one attributes secret identity blindness to something unique in American culture, do they? It's just the way one guy did it first, everyone imitated him, and it's become an accepted part of the genre. Some iterations of it just ask you to suspend your disbelief more than others

Sorry, I call Bullshit, Wataru doesnt take that long to henshin.

He does take longer than Faiz after Takumi has got it under control.

We forgot about G3... That one's going to have to take it because it's so impractical.
