Who's going to the Licensing Show tomorrow?

KRDK. Nothing new, but nice to see it represented.

I have to say, I'm not that impressed with Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. It looks a little "cheap" in my opinion, and I think it's going to struggle finding an audience. To put my first impressions in perspective, I thought Blade the TV Series was the lowest a show could go, production value wise. I no longer think that. However, I'll give it a go when it comes out. Might surprise me.

Any how, I'm going to the British version of this in October. Anyone else going?

No, I'm not hating.

MMPR got away with being cheap because it was 1993, and the show was aimed at very young children. But it's the year 2007, PR isn't cheap anymore even though it has the same target audience. A sign of how audience expectations have changed.

And I thought KRDK is aiming for a teenage/young adult audience. That audience watch Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, The 4400, etc. It has expectations.

But if this show is aiming for a younger audience, then I apologise.

I think KRDK is for 7-13yo's. Can someone shed some light on this?
Edit: Also you havn't actually watched any of it yet. How can you call it cheap when all you've seen are characters in and out of costume with CGI animals/monsters.

No, it's for 8+
Well that's okay then. But the trailer sets it up for adults, with an emo lead character and all that stuff about the father, etc. It sounds a bit too complicated.

I also think the look's a little jarring - it's harsh lighting shot on DV. Like Battlestar Galactica meets Power Rangers.
