What's so bad about Go-Busters?

Whether or not a villain is major should be dictated by screen time, moreso than what the character does. Otherwise you end up with arguments like yours, which is, "This character can't be major because they weren't very complicated." I would say Ley Garus would count as major simply by virtue of being in so many episodes. He's not the most major, nor a focal point of the story, but he still gets a buttload of screentime (as opposed to, say, a MotW).

Gaoranger too, right? Since I'm pretty sure Utchy's story with Dogold is just Shirogane-lite (They even both get hung up on crosses at certain points. :laugh.

That makes me think that some people may dislike gobusters because everyone else does? I don't know, I didn't finish it, dropped it while it was airing like I usually do with stuff, but I enjoyed it. I'm not saying some people pretend to hate it or anything, they may genuinely dislike gobusters, but it may be influenced by the fact so many other dislike it. I think it's perfectly fine to dislike something, for any reason you may have though.

There are some people in this fandom, LC stands out, that will say they hate a series simply because a lot of people like it. People shouldn't do this.

No, I haven't said that. I have said I dislike series when they're used to bash a show I like, or when their most popular character/element annoyed me (such as Rio and Mele.)

I agree that a lot of people dislike Go-Busters just because it's cool to hate it. In another year or two, when there'll be nothing new left for Go-Busters and people will have moved on, new fans will watch it with fewer preconceptions and probably enjoy it more than they would have done with others telling them constantly that it sucks. That's why Go-onger and Goseiger are somewhat better regarded than they once were - perhaps not on here, but it seems to be more "acceptable" on other sites now to say that you're a fan of one of those shows

since when did I ever state that I hate a certain series just because everybody is also hating on it? I dislike Gobusters because I actually do find it boring myself, not because everyone else hates it too.

Yeah, I just never think to mention Gao when I'm rattling off influences. Even if I'm discussing the costumes, I'll end up mentioning JAKQ first. Gaoranger is kind of a non-entity to me, which is perhaps unfair.

Which makes me understand why people don't dig it, it's not what they want. But for me, it's pretty cool. I enjoy the feel, story, and characters.

I didn't like it because I thought it was incredibly boring. I didn't like any of the core three Busters I did however like Jin and J. Messiah was a terrible villain who just whined and complained all the time and put his faith into the much less reliable Escape when Enter while he was slow at least kept to the task at hand and did manage to steal Enetron at times.

In all honesty I only watched it when something really important happened on the show.

It is a standard sentai. Rangers check, villain group check, mecha check, etc etc etc.
