Ultra Galaxy Legends questions

I think it's debatable to say that Nagano would be the most popular Ultra actor nowadays. Even though he is a Johnny's member and stuff, I think Tsuruno has a lot more mainstream appeal because he appears on so many variety shows so often. (Plus his own music to boot) While Nagano is often overshadowed by his younger V6 member Okada Junichi or Inohara, who appears on Asaichi as a regular member.

I like Nagano and Tiga, but I wouldn't say he is the most popular now.

Well, during the series itself, Tiga really was just Daigo using another form. The statue had no consciousness of it's own, and Daigo just took over... right? The show did make a point about how Tiga is completely human. There's also how Evil Tiga is only evil because of Masaki.

But yeah, the explanation that Daigo is the original Tiga is... strange, to say the least. He doesn't seem like he could have ever been a bad guy in any life.

Well, no. Tiga originally is an Ultra who lost his energy and he became a statue. Tiga reached Daigo and gave him the power. He doesn't really take control of Daigo like pretty much any other Ultra. When Ultraman was combined with Hayata, Hayata was in control. The same goes for Dyna, although Dyna did prevent Asuka's transformation because Asuka was trying to show off his new powers.

Evil Tiga is pretty much made by taking Daigo's Tiga energy, and linking it between himself and the Ultra statue. This takes the energy and uses it as a shell to create a new Ultraman.

Yeah, and the movie basically makes Tiga go from being a villain to being a hero in an instant. It says that Daigo's source of power can be changed in a second.

Hayata was in control? In the last episode is revealed that the ona that was making all the actions and in control of Hayata's body was Ultraman, Hayata didn't remember anything from the first chapter to the last.

His memory was erased when he was separated from Ultraman. That's why he didn't remember. It's not that he was unconscious while Ultraman did everything.

His memory of the time he was combined with Ultraman stayed with Ultraman. He only remembered the light and the ship.

What episode if Dyna did that happen, please? Asuka got into serious trouble at the end, when TPC found out he was Dyna's host.

I haven't seen the episode in years, so I don't remember the episode. It was within the first few ones. Maybe three, four, or five.

Well, Dyna didn't get a chance to be welcomed back after the battle, like Daigo was.

Uh, in the first episode, Yuzare specifically mentioned that the giant's body was laid to rest (on earth), but the giant itself "returned to the nebula whence it came". I'm pretty sure that indicates that Tiga's body (the statue) was separated from it's consciousness (which went back to wherever the hell it came from).

You sure about that? Mephilas specifically called Hayata "Ultraman" in episode 32. Although admittedly, I've only seen a few Ultraman eps.

She said that? I'll watch the episodes with the actual meat of the story when I get my DVDs back here and I'll let you know the compilation.

Could an alien not recognize the host of Ultraman?

Yep, she definitely said that. And I'm pretty sure the Gijela episode made a point that Tiga is allowed to stop humans from sniffing trippy pollen specifically because he's a human himself. I'm not completely sure about all the episodes, but the series did make a point about Tiga being human.

As for the Mephilas part, the conversation they had implied no disconnect whatsoever between the two personalities (Ultraman and Hayata).

The point that the Gijera episode made was that Ultramen didn't try to influence the free will of humans, but Daigo is both human and an Ultraman.

Well, the alien can ignore Hayata being Hayata because it intended to speak to him as Ultraman.
